Called last week to schedule a move for today. They showed up on time and moved my all my stuff an was done in less time then he quoted me. He even called to confirm the day before just to be sure. I have no problems referring Quality for people who need to move.

I used these guys last weekend to pack up my moving truck and they absolutely exceeded my expectations.



We had our apartment prepped for the move sooner than we expected, and they were able to show up a little before our appointment time. I was a little concerned about the size of the truck relative to my ridiculous amount of crap. Wasn't an issue... I thought I had mad Tetris skills, but these guys put mine to shame.



The three men packed up my [very] full 1-bedroom apartment in less than 2 hours. They wrapped up my furniture and tied items back as necessary. If I still lived in the area I would definitely use them again.

These guys are really great! Showed up on time (actually came 15 minutes early) and were very professional and friendly. They made sure to wrap all of our furniture to protect and were very careful with the move... this was not an easy task as we live in a three story unit with small and narrow stairways. They moved everything into storage and stacked everything neatly and very organized. They also made an additional trip to my parents to drop off our washer and dryer (my parents live close by). I will use them again when we find a new house and would recommend to all my friends.

My boyfriend recently moved this past weekend, and decided to go with Quality Moving because they were affordable and he had heard about them through a friend. We decided to use them for the heavy-lifting and so we had all the boxes packed and ready to go when they came. When they arrived they were genuinely good guys who got the job done efficiently. They came and took care of the couch, bed, and two dressers, along with the boxes and he was moved into his new place, which was across the city, within 2.5 hours. There were no hidden charges - their quote was accurate.



These guys are straightforward, insured, and they do a good job all-around. I highly recommend Quality Moving company.

Stress-free moving. I found myself signing a lease for a new apartment to move in a week, and was referred to Quality as a good company to use. Derrick quickly gave me an estimate after a few simple questions, and came to visit the next morning to confirm and give me a "do not exceed". Move date is just 5 days away - the price is quite reasonable.



I even picked up a lot of free, used boxes from their warehouse - no extra cost or waste required for packing!



On the day: arrived 8am, packed in 1.5 hours, drive, unpacked in 1.5 hours, completed before 12pm! This is for a 2 bed apartment, about 30 big boxes, and a small number of really big items. Friendly crew, unbelievably fast (and still careful), and clear about everything they were doing.



Highly recommended - I'll definitely be using them next time.

Avoid this company at all costs. I have never had a worse experience with a vendor or service company. Not a single thing since the initial sales pitch has gone smoothly, and the corporate-wide incompetence seems to be universal.



To date (more than three weeks since our truck was loaded), the company can not even tell us if it has left Chicago, where it is, when it will arrive (in Colorado). Nor will they EVER return our calls.

Using Quality saved me a TON of stress!.....

Just moved from IL to PA in July 2011. The complete transition was flawless. My driver Eduard was very experienced, very professional and very nice. I totally trusted my belongings in his hands. The boys that Quality hires to do the actual loading/unloading were professional, very polite and were VERY hard working. They kicked a** at both my pick up and drop off locations. ....They would NOT let me move anything myself....they didn't slow down! Driver deserves big Kudos.....

If I ever need a moving service again I will use Quality.

This was definitely one of the smoothest and stress less moves I've had in a long time. I was told by George over the phone that my movers would arrive between 8-9am. Two Russian guys showed up at 8am on the dot. Since I was paying an hourly rate instead of a fixed rate, I was worried they might dilly dally and take their sweet time to eat up money. But nope, they were super fast and efficient. They offered me wardrobe boxes (for free) that I loaded up with my hanging clothes. And they also wrapped up my pristine white mattress with plastic wrap and my wood furniture with blankets and tape to ensure they wouldn't get scratched. They also disassembled my bed for easier transport, something I had no clue how to do.



The place I moved to has a tricky loading zone situation but my mover told me not to worry, and he was able to suggest the best place for them to park their truck to avoid a parking ticket. Once in my new apt, they placed all my furniture in the locations I asked for and even placed the boxes in their appropriate rooms as I had them labeled.



I moved from a one-bedroom to a studio with about 20min of drive time in 2.50 hours for under $200. Total bargain!!



I'm recommending Quality Move to anyone I know needing a good, reliable, and reasonably priced mover. THANKS GUYS!!! :)

20 months later....



I got my items out of storage and moved into a condo in Lincoln Park. Overall, I had a really good experience with Quality Move. They are responsive when you call, organized, and professional.



The storage: All of my belongings were in good condition. I suspect their storage facility is clean and temperature controlled (I was concerned about bugs and mold). After 20 months, it's natural to have some mustiness, but overall I was quite relieved.



The move: They showed up ontime, they were careful with my items and they helped me unwrap, collapse boxes, put furniture in place, etc. They were careful about the floors, and walls and I think they were quite helpful. They made moving pretty painless.



I highly recommend them - worth the extra dime. Very pleased.

Me and the BF recently combined houses to the burbs. Mike and his guys moved me one day and the BF the next. They were awesome both days. Mike was great at making sure everyone understood the pricing and was on the same page. They were all friendly and were respectful of our stuff. Most of all they were hard workers, super efficient, and fast. Both days they came under the estimate (prepared packing also helps).



I have hired movers plenty of times before and this was the best experience I have had. I definitely would recommend them.

Look no further, this is a terrific moving company. Professional, punctual. fast, pleasant and competitively (reasonable) priced.

Quality moved a one bedroom apartment out 2 flights and in 3 flights across town

in 3 hours. Amazingly hard working and knew what they what they were doing to protect the property.

LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE... It is obvious that the people "writing a 4 start review" work for this company because there is no reason why people would rate this company with more than 1 start. Otherwise - Look for reviews in YELP, MovingScam, RipOff Report... Oh! and did I mention, look for Quality Move reviews in BBB, DOT, AMSA? Well, let me tell you that this company does not deserve to be in business.



The group of Eastern Europeans running and working in this business are quite amazing. In a move from California to Illinois, they violated DOT regulations, falsified records and outright lied at both ends of the trip. Everything about the move was difficult.



There office staff = Rachel (who hardly speaks English), Danielle, Derreck, Tracy were so rude and refused to accept a BANK CASHIERS CHECK. Stating it was not 'certified funds'. Refused to take a credit card over the phone. They want cash so there is no paper trail for IRS reasons.



Federal records available at www.protectyourmove.gov and www.safersys.org show that Quality Move co. was granted their interstate authority on 9/25/06 and that they had an involuntary revocation on 8/18/08. The records also show 4 complaints filed against them at the federal level and 3 of those complaints were for (among other reasons) holding customer's shipments "hostage" for more money, which is against the law and punishable by jail time and heavy fines. The records also show that the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration investigated them and on 8/25/08 fined the company $2,000 for failing to prepare one (or more) customer's weight tickets in the prescribed manner.



As of 7/5/2011 there are 26 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years. This is a lot of complaints for a company it's size

STOP LOOKING FOR MOVERS. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST. Too bad I only got to use five stars... Sorry, YP, your rating system wasn't good enough for these guys. Here's mine: ********************* (that might not be enough, but you get the idea...) Five stars? As movers go, they're super stars.



We can't give enough good feedback about Quality Move. We moved from Westmont, IL to Hanover Park, il. We don't have the best furniture, but they even got the Ikea entertainment center over with no damage.



I spoke to Derrick five days before our move. The move was organized in a day via phone and email. We communicated by email and every time I wrote him, he responded within 15-30 minutes. I gave him a list of our furniture, and he gave me a fair quote within minutes.



That's some serious FOLLOW THROUGH. (Ignore NickandMoira they must be mixing up movers.)



The price was a bargain. They showed up RIGHT ON TIME to the minute they said they'd be here. Very impressive and professional. We knew this would be the easiest possible move as soon as they got to the apartment.



Luke, Carlos, and Victor were fast, friendly, efficient, and are just the type of movers you need to make you feel relaxed during a move. I didn't even feel stressed.



These guys are FAST and take great care of all the items they move. Even the steep stairs in our new apartment, which were not easy to navigate with our big furniture didn't phase them. They made the move absolutely easy... and actually fun.



We packed most of our own boxes, but there's always little bits and pieces that turn up. The guys even helped with that.



Luke was kind enough to install a closet rod: he even remembered our cat's name and tried to console him. Four paws for him.



Quality Move Co. go way above and beyond they typical mover. If we ever need to move again, we wouldn't use anyone else. Many thanks to YP.com.

The office is terrible. They sent me two different estimates with two different totals. When I questioned this, I was told "Derrick is new here". The day of the move, having been assured I was first stop, I received a phone call that the previous night's move had to be finished that morning and my time window would be pushed back from 8:00-10:00 until at least 11:30. So I continue to sit and wait with friends and family who took the day off work. Movers finally arrive at 3:00 p.m. The office explained to me that there was nothing that could be done in the way of compensation for my wait and the inconvenience.

The moving guys themselves were incredibly helpful, hard-working, and efficient. However, even though they did a nice job, the office end of things ruined it for me. They use every excuse under the sun instead of being upfront with customers. When I was so perturbed that I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau, Quality Move essentially replied that I was lying. If you don't mind a mess of an office/dispatch, go ahead with them. Their moving crews are legitimate; as far as the professionalism and punctuality of the company, look elsewhere.

No one likes to move, but having Quality Move help us this past weekend certainly took the edge off. The team was beyond careful and their diligence, professionalism and care for our apartment move really impressed me. They packed our entire house, so well that not ONE item was broken. They were also great guys and I would not hesitate to use their services again.

I used Quality Move to do a local move from Chicago to Naperville. The guys were very nice. They wrapped the furniture and took apart my bed and any other furniture that I needed. They even packed couple of boxes, free of charge. Move out and move in was seamless. Great company for local moving.

This is the second time I've had Quality Move help me move in the city and they were amazing again. The consultant was professional and followed up, the movers were friendly and efficient, and everything was as expected/described.
