Parkway Gardens does have nice apartments. Im a resident of 10 years. The first few years were fine after that it went down. For the 3rd consecutive year in a row the tenants are without hot water. The funny thing is it always seem to happen every year around thanksgiving. Imagine, everything you need to do on Thanksgiving. Cooking, cleaning, dressing the kids, all without NO HEAT AND HOT WATER. The tenents of Parkway Gardens experienced no hot water for a month last Thanksgiving 2009. This year it's been 5 days and counting. Yes, we call the city to inform them of the situation. Parkway Gardens and it's EMPLOYEES, seem to have no plan of action when things go wrong over the weekend. You litteraly have to wait until the office is open in order to convey your maintenance emergency. I called about no heat which is listed on the prompt for maintencance emergency on their phone system. I still haven't received a call back. Maybe, because I was so upset for being without heat and hot water I might have been a little upset over the voice mail system. (can you blame me!) Anyway they show no empathy for the tentants. Its takes soo loong before they even respond to a work order. It isn't until we call Universal Management that work orders are taken care of right away. This if just a fore warning..You might say oh my cousin or friend lives there..and the apartments are nice..That's true! But if you don't maintain your property well things will fall apart. In their case alot is falling apart and no one seems to wanna do thier job. Ohh..they do a very good job of covering up and lying instead of researching and getting facts! Even going so far as to send a certain employee downtown after the city has been called for no heat and hot water to LIE!..Yes it was told to me from the employee himself..JUST AND FYI NOT A BITTER RESIDENT..JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU A HEADS UP, BECAUSE EVERYTHING THAT GLITTERS AINT GOLD!!!Ok...



.I just wrote a review on Parkway Gardens Apartments less than a month ago. Im writing again because we have been without hot water since yesterday. I called maintenance he said he would notify the person responsible. I woke up this morning still no hot water. After speaking with someone before noon, he assured me contractors would be on the property to make repairs. I will believe it when I get some hot water. The worst part is I anticipated putting in a work order the following morning and was notified the office was closed..Geesh CAN ANYONE HELP!
