Poor Customer Service and Hidden Charges

These folks truly exemplify poor customer service. A colleague of mine worked with Paragon on a set of promotional water bottles. Throughout the experience, she found the representative from Paragon to be extremely difficult to reach via email and phone, often waiting a few days (and sometimes up to a week) to receive a reply. Initially, there was no urgency to the order, and we were told that the turnaround for the bottles (printing and shipping) would be about a week. Unfortunately, since the rep failed to send us the final proof and then seemingly never saw our email saying that everything was a go, we ended up needing the bottles in about 5 day’s time (this rep was aware of our deadline from day #1). Then, to make matters worse, the sales rep tacked on an express service and shipping charge almost equal to the price of the bottle order itself!!! Needless to say my colleague has spent a number of hours trying to fight this charge, but once again this rep has refused to return calls and reply to emails, made false promises of dropping a significant portion of the express service charge, and then presented us with a less-than-reasonable 20% discount on the express service and shipping charge.



Maybe we were treated this way simply because we didn’t place a large order, but I believe you can judge a business by how they treat their smallest volume customers. I won't be ordering through this company in the future, and would strongly advise you to look elsewhere for promotional products.
