Very good experience. Quick from Airport to Lot and into a car within a few minutes. Car ran fine for the whole trip. Return to lot and back to airport was a breeze. Would recommend Emerald Club and National every day!

Does not try to fake you out by charging for things not noted like Hertz. I am pleased.

Not overly impressed that at some locations they ask you if everything is okay with the car and some they don't. They should report ALL incidents with the car before you are in it and make you aware of the damages to the car. I found many scratches after leaving the lot and was then harassed by a manager who didn't believe it wasn't my doing.

Some locations however are on top of this.

I've been Executive Elite last year & I'm in my 2nd year now. Made the move from Avis First & could not be happier. Super easy to pick my own car & go. Chicago O'Hare had a nice selection in the Executive aisle when I arrive.

Love being an Emerald Club Member. This was my first experience...and what a breeze!!! Even picked up an IZoom at the exit!

Even when the main desk is challenged by regular walk-in traffic, being an Emerald club member makes reserving and driving away an easy task.

I am an emerald club member and like the concept that you can pick a car from lot and simply check out at gate. Cars are always clean and in very good condition. You can earn points off free rentals.

My company has a corporate contract with National that includes a few extra perks. Under this agreement, they are very easy to do business with.

As a member of the emerald club, I really like the idea that I can choose my car from the lot. Picking up and returning the car (typically in Chicago) is a breeze. Price is competitive. People are nice and helpful. I have tried pretty much every rental car company in the past few years, and I like National the best.

This was my first experience renting with National Car Rental and I was overly impressed. Being an executive member and signing up for eReceipts made the whole process flow very smoothly. I felt that the process of picking out a vehicle was easy and there were many options in the mid sized car category. The manager was extremely helpful in answering my questions as this process renting with National Car Rental was my first. The car I received was clean and very nice. The check out process was very quick and easy with the shuttle service getting you to O'Hare airport very quickly and efficiently. National Car Rental is a well oiled operation and I would be happy to rent from them on my next trip.

I missed a flight and couldn't get on for another 24 hours. Renting a car through National at the Chicago airport was great. It was my first time renting a car and the lady behind the counter made my day. She was incredibly nice and super patient with all of my question asking. The car I received was really clean and the guy that walked me to my car cracked me up. Even the man in the booth checking paperwork upon exiting was extremely nice. A big shout out to the crew that was working around 9:45 on 12/11/14. You guys are fantastic!

TW....Dropped car off at ORD on 9/25/14. Have been Emerald Aisle Customer since 1989. The person checking me in right away said you have a dent. Not did you know you had a dent, just you have a dent. Supervisor was called over and asked "did I check the car before I took it". Are you kidding me, I said I never had a problem in 25 years and I never checked the cars before at emerald aisle. Learned a lesson, always check cars before you take them. Not happy with snotty attitude of car checker and supervisor. I will say I used words to describe my displeasure such as BS and Chicken Bleep to describe how I felt National was treating me after 25 years of using them exclusively. I guess loyalty does not mean anything anymore.

Visited Chicago last week. Shuttle drivers, coming and going, as well as the staff at the counter and the booth, and finally, the ones at the rental return, were great! No complaints at all!

Rented a car (one way) to get home during the Chicago ATC fire mess in Sept. Agent was helpful and everything worked out great

I have been using National (Emerald Club) for about 6 years now... I have never encountered a problem in Chicago... I have asked questions and the reps were courteous with their responses... Checking out is a breeze....
