GO SOMEPLACE ELSE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!

I wish YellowPages had a negative star rating or at least half a star rating because that's what I would rate this place! This little hardware store (if you want to call it that) is on the Southeast side of Chicago. Now, I usually like to support the little guy (small neighborhood businesses) but this place was horrible. First off, it's a hardware store, it's dingy, gloomy, dusty & dirty & in need of a paint job like 15 years ago. There is no excuse for a hardware store where they still merchandise like paints, hammers, nails, etc., to look this way. I know they know impression that they don't care at all. I think they're of middle eastern descent, not entirely sure of their race though. First off, these guys can speak English well enough but they're incredibly rude. They don't greet you when you enter the store or offer any help (there was at least 3 guys there supposedly working & only 1 other customer besides me). I was there to purchase a specific type of screwdriver and of course they didn't have it. Their prices are too high but that is to be expected from a little hardware store on the South side of Chicago. I DO NOT RECOMMEND giving this place your business! I sent my teenage daughter there once, & not only were they rude to her (not speaking, not answering her questions), once she found what she was looking for (on her own by browsing the isles) & went to pay, they overcharged her & when she told them about it, they claimed the price on the product was a mistake. I had to go back myself with my daughter to take the product back for a refund which they almost refused to give. When I told them that they were guilty of false advertising (there was clearly a sign in front of the product with the actual sale price still intact, I guess they didn't expect my daughter to return so they left the sign with the advertising sale price still up), they gave me a refund. I understand that it is hard for some of the middle eastern americans (again not really sure if they are exactly Middle Eastern but I do know they are definitely not from India or Indian descent) trying to run a business with a war going on but if they cannot be professional & civil then they need to just find another way to earn a living. I am a American Veteran & had to hold back from saying something horrible to these guys. Like I said, you'll be better off going someplace else, there is a Lowe's (83rd & Stewart in the Chattham area) or Home Depot (87th & Dan Ryan) that is not exactly in the area but at least you'll find what you need & don't have to deal with ignorant, unprofessional, rude people who have made America their new home!!!
