Terrible, horrible... There is no word in the dictionary to express how i feel. I spend an hour and a half for them to cut my hand three times to take the no chip paint off. DO NOT GO THERE

Excellent Salon!

Originally I came to Magic Nails on a whim. I started getting my nails professionally done about almost three years ago, and initially got my nails done at a shop in south suburban shop (name purposely left out). I was NOT very happy with the results... Not only that, the staff at the previous shop seemed very impatient and always in a hurry - no matter what time of day I came in.

I remembered seeing Magic Nails on East 87th Street, not long after my second/last disastrous experience with the previous nail salon while out driving. I knew I did not want to go back to the other salon, but was not sure where to go -- I was pleasantly surprised! The Magic Nails staff is so nice, very patient, and professional. Some days it's very busy, but they are never so busy that they don't remember their old customers when they return or are not welcoming/friendly to new ones. I have been with Magic Nails ever since my first visit almost three years ago. The shop, itself, was nice then, but was remodeled earlier in 2008, and is even nicer now. You MUST treat yourself to the "mani/spa pedi" special! Me and some of the owner's other regular customers have told the owner many times that we wish we could transplant the pedicure (massage) chair home, because it works wonders when you've had a rough day (a few minutes sitting in one of those chairs with the massage settings set to a DEEP, percussive massage while you're getting your "spa pedi" makes ALL the difference!).

The pricing for the services offered are VERY reasonable. The staff works very well with teens and children, and all of them are very attentive. I have seen quite a few men getting basic manicures there (yes, very "manly" men - these same men even getting spa pedicures, too!), and they seem to have been as equally pleased with the results as the female clients. I have never had the feeling I was being rushed or hustled in and out of the salon. I highly recommend Magic Nails to everyone!

Great Business

Most salons are in a hurry and do not necessarily cater to children. I tried this place out today and not only were they patient and polished my daughters' nails, they did an excellent job with mine. I have gel overlays and I hate thick sloppy jobs. On top of that, it was not too crowded. I can't wait to go back!
