A bit of a wait for Sunday brunch but well worth it . Delicious coffee , wonderful omelettes, good service. The hostess passed. Out donut holes while we waited and the milk duds

I with my Dad starting in 1965, and now all the way to 2009 "Our Last Visit", have been eating at this great Chicago Eatery. OUTSTANDING breakfasts, coffee, lunches, dinners. Great "Take-Out" used in the 1960's when we were working in the area downtown. Always our personal family "First Down" for all home Bears Games !! Always on our agenda for Chicago visits or pass-thoughs, especially as we live out of Illinois now. Do not miss this "Chicago Landmark". Has all the right touches, family service & hospitality, great donut holes, Milk Duds, and prunes. Orange Juice to die for . If you order the "Skillet" for sure, be ready to eat.

Lou Mitchell's is one of those landmark Chicago eateries. You have to try it at least once when you come to Chicago due to its great location and history. The food is spectacular and the food generally comes out pretty quick. The service can be good or bad, but I've had generally good experiences. It can be a little tight with space, but that is part of the fun. While you're there, make sure to get their milkduds and doughnut holes as even if you wait they want to take care of you.
