took $460 for putting new timing belt, 15k miles later timing belt broke leaving me stuck on highway, another mechanic told that timing belt was never changed

I disagree with the bottom two reviews. I have never been ripped off by them, they always tell you how long it'll take to fix and how much it will cost. Kraj Auto is an honest mechanic, you will not find a better shop in Chicago.

My family has been going here for years, always have done good work and the prices are good. It's hard to find an honest mechanic these days and this is one you can count on. We have had our Infinity fx35, Dodge Ram, and Lexus is300 worked on here and have always had everything done right. As someone mentioned on here they kept the car for a couple days, but that was primarily because they made sure to check absolutely everything prior to repairing the vehicle for a bad MAF sensor which was giving multiple errors to the ODB sensor (AIC motor with O2 sensor malfunction were being read). I would rather have had my car held there for 2 days to find out it was the mass airflow sensor instead of just getting the O2 sensors replaced when that wasn't really the problem. We've also had the rotors of an FX35 replaced for half the price of nearby competition. Good place.

Do not get your car repaired at KRAJ Auto. They will rip you off!! They said my car was repaired, but it wasn't, they kept my car for a week and it still was not repaired. My car broke down on the expressway 28 hours after they said it was repaired. They are not a good repair shop! Oh and they up'd my bill from the estimate!!!

DO NOT get your car fixed here. On more than one occasion my car broke down days after they worked on it, stranding me. They never have the car ready when they say it is. The last time they called and said come over its done, got a ride and he's calling me when I'm a block away to say, no not really ready, maybe tomorrow. They didnt have a part one time, said just run it in - it will take 30 minutes, you can wait. 90 minutes later I had to get the car without being done and go. Quality of their work and service POOR
