When we first moved in there was a cockroach infestation. Which the landlord blamed on us! She said we brought them! I moved from an apartment that had no roaches!! She was and still is extremely rude!Just horrible! The neighbor from the unit below me complained that my kids were making to much noise the whole day....what?! We are barely home! I confronted her she claimed to have only said that it got a lil loud at night. The landlord then called me and yelled at me telling me that my kids were not allowed to play in the apartment! That I need to control them and make them sit down!! What?!? Who does she think she is?? She then said she had to move me because she didn't want any problems with the other tenant. After moving us in less than three months the bed bugs started!! I notified the landlord it took months for them to do anything. When they finally wanted to exterminate they didn't want to tell us if it was safe for our children and pets. Not until my husband threatened to call the city of Chicago. They then said they would get something that was safe for them. We then learned from other neighbors that the bed bug problem has been going on for years. Mean while we were buying sprays out of pocket! They never offered to pay for these. They acted like it was our fault. Made us feel like we were dirty people which we are not!We were bed bug free for about a month. Then they came back. This time we are moving out. We are going to gave to leave most of our furniture behind! And that's only the bed bugs Not to mention all the fixing the building needs! Like the door nobs keep falling off. They Still haven't fixed them. Leaking ceiling still leaking after being "repaired" 3 times. Leaking sinks both in the kitchen and bathroom. Neighbors making noise at all hours of the night! Ringing my doorbell to get in. The landlord having arguments with tenants in the middle of the day. Since we didn't renew our lease they asked why! Well maybe if you fixed what we asked to be fixed in a timely manner or maybe if you weren't so rude or maybe if the building wasn't falling apart maybe just maybe we would stay. I would give them no stars but I have to I can't submit this if I don't put a star!!
