Tobina, the proprietor, and her staff are hospitable, resourceful, accessible and genuinely interested in the persons who walk into their store. As you enter the the boutique store on Walton Street, the look and feel resembles an elegant old world parlor. The staff attend to your needs and inquiries with graciousness and charm. Inevitably, there's a treasure here for everyone, each and every time you stop in, whether your'e looking for a vintage or antique engagement ring to a simple memento for someone special on their birthday or the holidays, or just to reward yourself. Every item is meticulously selected and remarkable in its own right. The styles and prices span a broad range, appealing to all persons of good taste and price points; it's truly a high-end eclectic shopping destination.

The atmosphere is relaxed, and I was treated like a long time friend from the first time I walked in the door. There is a wide range of items/cost. Someting for everyone! When a problem occurred, it was promptly addressed. I am a lifelong patron now, and will stop in every time I'm in Chicago.

Tobina can authoritatively answer any jewelry related question and makes you feel as though you have a family member in the industry...

I am always seeking one of a kind pieces of jewelry for either a man or a woman. I found the House of Kahn just by walking down the street and looking at the wonderful architecture of Chicago buildings, ###When I walked inside the store and greeted by the friendly staff, I was also given a tour of the building, I was just amazed of what I was shown and left out with personal treasures as well as some Holiday gifts!

Jewelry stores, like people, come and go in one's life. But the House of Kahn which has been around for over 50 years remain the same with high quality and wonderful nuggets! ###I also make it to the House of Kahn for any of my jewelry needs. My Mother loves the place and shops at the 2nd store in Palm Beach, but I still surprise her with something from the Chicago location. ###The Queen of England does not have all the best jewelry, so does dear old mum and from the House of Kahn!###Exceptional quality!

It is such a unique collection of one-of-a-kind jewels, you really never know what you will find. The owner and staff are always friendly and take time to talk and help me find what i'm looking for. They also have a great memory and make me feel like a valuable customer. Even when I'm buying gifts for others they have some great sterling silver pieces that are perfect for any occasion. I honestly don't know of any other locations in Chicago that offer such a variety of estate jewels at these great prices.
