WORST RENTAL CAR EXPERIENCE EVER

I reserved and prepaid for a rental car with Hertz months in advance and when I arrived with my family on the night we were going to pick up our car, all they could say was, "we don't have any cars"
They offered absolutely no help in finding another car or calling their other locations so with no other options I had to find my own at the last minute of which I had to pay hundreds of extra $$ for and $120 for a taxi ride to get there!
We emailed the company about our experience and got no response whatsoever from them.
Later on that year I experienced the same thing with Alamo but they bent over backwards to make it right and actually acted like they cared.
From Alamo, I got hundreds discounted from my rental, paid fare to my location, free gas and the car was delivered the next afternoon to me.
If I have a choice in rentals it will never be HERTZ again even if I have to pay more money.
