Third generation restaurateurs Jimmy Bannos and George Bannos were born and raised in the restaurant business. In 1980, the Bannos family opened a neighborhood coffee shop on the seventh floor of the Garland Building in Chicago. In 1985, the coffee shop was transformed into the Heaven On Seven restaurant. Named to identify its seventh floor location, it specializes in a Louisiana-style dining experience. Heaven on Seven offers breakfast, lunch and snack meals to downtown Chicagoans. Dinner is served at its original location on the first and third Friday of each month. The restaurant has several other downtown Chicago locations. Its newest restaurant opened in 2003 in Naperville, Ill. Heaven on Seven restaurants also provides catering and space for private parties.
