Amazing!! this is the word tha...

Amazing!! this is the word that I will use to describe Glass of America. My car was broken into and safelite was only able to repair my window two days later. I called Glass of America. they not only matched the price but Devon, their repair guy came in the same day and installed a new glass window for my car. The person who took my appointment was great, Devon who put in the new window came in on time, did a great job and vacuumed my car to get rid of the excess glass under the seat. You have to go with Glass America, you wont regret it.

I called at 12:30, and got quo...

I called at 12:30, and got quoted a price of $596.50 to get my windshield fixed. I was given a quote from a competitor for $482.71. When I told them that, they dropped the price of my windshield to $475.14. So I agreed to go with them. They told me they could get it fixed the next day. An hour later i got a call saying they were able to do it that day. All in all it took them 3 hours, from the time i called to the time my windshield was put it. 5 stars.

Very Accomodating.

The individual who installed my windshield was wonderful! He was very accommodating to my weird work schedule. We had a meeting time figured out and he must have gotten there a few minutes before me, but he was waiting patiently when I showed up right on time. I can't tell you the relief I felt knowing he waited for me to arrive. Also he was very nice and made me feel very comfortable knowing my car was in his hands. Thank you! I will recommend you to anyone who will listen!

The technician was so nice, and the windshield looks beautiful! I had a problem with the wipers being out of alignment after-wards, and the technician came back the very next day and fixed them. Thank you for your excellent service!

Exceptional Service

I was exceptionally satisfied with my technician George F. He was very professional and performed his job to perfection. He also explained the warranty info as far as what is covered and what would not be covered in detail and made sure I was completely satisfied with the work before leaving by doing a once over with me regarding the service. Took Time To Explain

The tech in Prestonsburg, KY was wonderful, he came to my door and introduced himself and let me know he was there even though I knew he was coming. He was very professional. He answered all my questions and took the time to show me what had happened to my previous windshield and he explained to me about the dry rot of the rubber around the windshield and what not to use on it. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain that to me as I don't know much about that kind of thing.....I would definitely recommend your company to any of my friends, family, and co-workers because of the good experience that I had with him.

Hire someone else

I called Glass America to come and fix two windshields. The first vehicle's windshield had 1 small chip and 1 very small shatter. Two days after the repair, the very small shatter is now larger than it was before the repair. The second windshield had 1 very small imperfection that I hardly noticed, but figured I would get it fixed since I had them coming out and I didn't want it to get any bigger. The imperfection didn't bother me before the repair; now it sticks out like a sore thumb! I phoned them, told them I wasn't satisfied with the repairs and in fact they were worse, and was told they couldn't do anything about it. I asked to speak to the manager, and he got on the phone, told me it was him who did the repairs and all he can do is offer me $80 off a new windshield. Their Lifetime Warranty is: Feel confident in your windshield repair with a protection for the life of your vehicle. I'm not satisfied with the repairs done and all they will do now is offer to sell me new windshields???? I will never hire them again.

Outstanding Service

I recently had an incident with my vehicle and after some negative experiences with other glass repair companies in Hartford like Safelite, I tried Glass America and could not have been more pleased with the service and workmanship.



The folks at the Hartford Glass America (which was located in East Hartford) were so easy to work with, incredibly professional and did a great job in getting my repair done quickly. Having had negative experiences with the Safelite and Glass Doctor locations in Hartford, working with the folks at Glass America was a exceptional experience.



I would highly recommend the Glass America in Hartford to anyone needing service!

They broke my door!

Glass America repaired my window and during the installation broke the door, it wold no longer open! The man repairing the window told me "they are not mechanics" and he didn't know what to do. I had to pay to have my door fixed. I asked them to reemburse me and they wouldn't. I guess they should stay away from electric windows and stick to only manual ones since they don't know how to fix them.

Can not be trusted!

When my windshield was repaired the company annotated on my invoice that I could get free rock chip repair for one year regardless of location. I was told I would just have to bring the vehicle into one of their many locations. I am active duty military and knew I would be moving soon after the repair and working with a national company was very important to me.



I recently called to schedule a rock chip repair, less than one year from the installation of the glass, and the manager proceeded to accuse me of lying. I emailed him my invoice only for him to yell at me over the phone and say he was not obligated to repair my rock chip because that is not a service that they normally offer. Even though it was clearly written on the invoice he refused to even listen to me speak and was extremely rude.



I would never recommend anyone to use this company or trust what they say!

Do Not Waste Your Time!!

Called and told me it would be done the next day. I waited for the next day and they had not shown so I called. I was connected with the personnel who schedule and the proceeded to tell me that they could it later NEXT week, and that the call center does not know their schedule. Go to Safelite as they corrected the problem and will be here in two hours!!

windshield install 7/6/09

Had a windshield installed in my car per the insurance company. Guy came by while I was at work and installed the windshield. When I came out to go home that day I saw the windshield was crooked, the trim wouldn't fit back on the car because all the clips were broken, and the guy had smeared urathane all over the paint on the hood of my car and the apillar paint. To top it off there was dirt all on the inside of my car and hand prints everwhere. I called the insurance company who referred me to one of the head corporate guys. He told me they would re-install the windshield with the new clips (I had bought) and that they would refund my deductable. When I got the car back the 2nd time it wasn't in any better shape and they even had a piece of painters tape to hold the back part of the trim down. Needless to say I was pissed by this time. Over all a HORRIBLE experience. I would never reccomend them to anyone!!!!!!!!!!

Some jerk broke my rear door glass out yesterday and took items from the back seat. We called around to other local shops and felt that Glass America had not only the best phone customer service, but was more willing to commit to an AM appointment for the next morning. The tech arrived on time and was very nice and professional. He cleaned up inside my car extensively and also the area under where he did the replacement. Their price was also slightly less than the competitors- a bonus! I would absolutely recommend Glass America. The local office that handled my call was in Naperville, IL. 630-305-6060

Awesome work!

I called Glass America on a Tuesday to have my windshield replaced. A representative took down my information and told me that someone would call me later that day to confirm my appointment for Wednesday. Sure enough, they confirmed my appointment and told me someone would call me on Wednesday with the time they would come to my job to replace my car window. This great guy called, he was so friendly and told me he would be at the job around 2 to 3 PM. I told him no problem but I had to leave work to go golfing at 4 PM. Well, because they prefer the car sits for an hour before driving it, he came early. I told him he didn't have to and we could rescheduled and he said "no problem, I'll be there in plenty of time." He was extremely nice. I wrote out my check and went back to work once I showed him where my car was and he was probably here no more than 30 minutes! Excellent service, great customer service and it's nice to have a friendly person come out to do the work! I would recommend Glass America to anyone!!!!

The price I was quoted was only about half of what another large company charged. Both the people I spoke with on the phone and the repairman were courteous and professional. I was amazed how quickly my new window was installed. I would definitely recommend this company.

Very Pleased

Really great experience with this company. They quoted me a price that was almost $100 less than any other quote I'd received, had no problem with meeting me at work, and the job they did was exceptional. It was raining the morning the windshield was to be installed so the tech called to let me know he was still planning on coming out just in case the rain might let up ... thankfully he arrived between rain storms and installed the windshield in less than 30 minutes.. just 5 minutes before a huge thunderstorm started up. I was terrified that there would be leaks since he had replaced the windshield so quickly only minutes before, but everything was perfect! I will DEFINITELY use this company again if I ever need anything repared.
