I was already aware of the unnecessarily high prices of Gentile's Wine Shop, but the store does have a nice atmosphere and seemed like a high-quality place. A couple weeks ago, I wanted to purchase a cigar for my cigar-loving father for his ride home to the suburbs. I asked the salesman if he had any suggestions for a good, moderately-priced cigar since I was unfamiliar with them. He said that the Macanudo was a good choice so I purchased it for $9. Later that day I received a call from my father with the news that the cigar I bought was definitely not a Macanudo, despite the packaging that said otherwise. Basically, someone switched cheaper cigars into a more expensive cigar's packaging. My hope in writing this is that the store will either become more careful about the products they sell, or that my fellow consumers will avoid this store to prevent dishonest people from attempting to profit off of our ignorance.
