Filed against : First Western Property1205 W Adams St # 101 Chicago IL 60607-2801Complaint Description:I paid for an apartment and did NOT get the keys to it until over A MONTH LATER and then on top of that THEY want to STILL CHARGE ME FOR THAT MONTH, when I havent even been living there that month at ALL, I NEVER even got the KEYS! Do NOT trust Jim Veikos and DO NOT trust his "manager" Rachael. I was lied to and now they are trying to keep my money for a month of rent when I was NOT even living there! I did NOT even have the KEYS!!!! The apartment is also still NOT HABITABLE and they are still charging me for it. I WILL be taking them to court, because this is NOT right. No one should have to pay for an apartment that they dont even have the keys to.. NO ONE! They are claiming that i never answered my phone to give me the keys, I did, and on top of that I just got the keys this month and the apartment is still NOT habitable to live in! Jim promised to prorate my apartment for the month i was not living there, but he now is not answering my phone calls. His "manager" Rachael was rude to me and said that i have to pay for the month that i was not living there. I dont know if they keep communication, but one says one thing and promises one thing and the other says the other. Who do i trust? Who do i talk to? Your Desired Resolution:I would like my money back $2,000 or i would like to resign the lease for this month. 12/06/2013 I refuse to pay for a month of rent for a place that I was not even living in, and NEVER got the keys to.
