Recently I went to buy a gold chain at Jewelry Market .All types of gold chains are fashanable and amazing collection at this place that was really nice and simple. They have tons of beads here so you can make your own jewelry. I have found some fabulous purses here as well. A big plus is that all of their earrings are sterling silver.

This is the best place in Chicago if you're looking for quality, real antiques. Within seconds of walking into their showroom in Chicago, I knew I had found a hidden gem. The antiques are breathtaking although you might have to do some digging because there is so much inventory...

Basically I've had a very positive experience with Ziggy. I'm not sure what people are complaining about with regards to refinish vs restoration, what he does is refinish, not sure the job is worth it to him just to fix some small veneer issues. I only take stuff to him that I want refinished. We pretty much tell him what we want and he does it. There aren't a lot of places that do this kind of work. There is another near by but they are way more expensive, there's another out west but if you live near the lake they are very inconveniently located.

Evanstonia does not offer European craftsmanship, but is just an ambitious fraud.I took in my grandfather's tiger oak dresser with beveled mirror. Ziggy replaced the beautiful old mirror with a cheap, distorted one, and refinished, not restored. When I called him to let him know I wanted my mirror, he told me to "Go to Hell."On May 4, 2009, he showed up at my front door, and said "you've been putting reviews on line." I said I had, and he called me names while speaking softly and smiling, because the neighbors were outside across the street. I reported him to the police. Shocking,but now not surprising from this person. Avoid Evanstonia for poor quality, absence of trustworthiness. Avoid this person's impulsive and erratic behavior.

I recently purchased a dining room table and six chairs from Ziggy at his Ravenswood location. I also purchased a buffet/bureau for my living room. Ziggy was very responsive when the payment process was unfolding (i.e. when I was in the process of paying him). Even though we agreed on terms he called days later asking for more money upfront than we agreed (he wanted to change the terms). He was also deceptive in trying to convince me that someone else wanted the chairs even though they sat in his store for months. Sales technique I'm aware but still poor service for a supposed upscale antique store. In terms of the quality of his work and professionalism ... I agree that it borders on "refinishing" not "restoring." An example, my dining room table is mid-century, it has developed some veneer weakness.
