BEST CLEANER IN CHICAGO, and perhaps the best in the world :-) I hear that this is new ownership, so any past negative reviews should be reconsidered. Anyway, here are some highlights on why Erie Cleaners are so great:

• GREAT WORK: From dry cleaning and laundry to tailoring and special requests, they do everything to perfection.

• ATTENTION TO DETAIL: They follow directions we’ll; also spot stains, missing buttons and issues that you don’t even see and then fix them at your convenience.

• FAST, CONVENIENT AND WELL-PRICED: Great turnaround time and their text notification when ready is nice. Also, they seem to be cheaper than other cleaners in the area and don’t mark-up fees for small fixes.

• PERSONABLE, OUTGOING STAFF WHO COMMUNICATES WELL: Any great customer service is valued, but these people go beyond great! Also, their English is strong (which is important when getting picky with alterations and special requests). They answer the phone when you call and clearly discuss your needs. They also remember your name and wish you well when leaving (they remembered I was leaving town and needing an impossible stain removed from my suit - they cleaned it to perfection and pressed it after 12pm drop-off for a next morning pick up, and then wished me safe travels... it’s simply appreciated having a friendly touch on top of great, well-priced, quick work).

Do yourself and your clothes a favor — go to this cleaner! They are the best!!!

Erie Cleaners is disgraceful! I went to them to get 2 pairs of pants and a dress altered. I was charged $81.00 which is extremely high but I thought that meant I would get what I paid for. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The dress was still dragging on the ground and wasn’t an even seam. I wasn’t upset, I figured it’s an easy fix and I can just go back. When I did, right from the start she was hostile with me. I tried the dress on with the same shoes so she could see what I was saying. Instead of offering to fix the problem she told me I asked for it to look this way and that she only charged me $14.00, and I would have to pay again to get it fixed. I asked in a very nice calm manner, why charge $14.00 if it wasn’t going to be done right? She had no response. Personally, I would have rather she charged more from the beginning!

Not only was she not willing to fix or hear anything I was saying she had a “so whatever attitude”. She just didn’t care and walked away and hid in the back. I was shocked and disappointed that I was being treated this way. Based on how she handled my situation I could tell she’s done this to others. It’s very sad and angering that she can treat people this way and not do the work I paid for!
