I put a $3,000 down payment on an orange 2008 Chevy Aveo from DRIVE OUT AUTO INC., located on 5601 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL. There were numerous electrical problems with this car but they offered me a 7-day warranty and assured me that the problems would be taken care of. A few days later, I dropped the car back off so the repairs could be made. The car was supposed to be finished a couple of days later, but a couple of days turned into 5 weeks. Within these 5 weeks, I received numerous phone calls letting me know that the car was ready. It turned out that the vehicle was never finished, so I wasted time and money continuously going up there. When the car eventually got fixed, they dropped it off at my residence. A couple of days later when I turned the car on, the horn and the hazard lights continuously and simultaneously went off. The next day when I attempted to start it up, the car wouldn’t start. So, the next day I tried to start the car again. This time it started but the horn and hazard lights kept going off, like previously. Again, the next and final day I went to turn the car on and it wouldn’t start. It was weird how certain things on the car wasn’t a problem when I dropped it off but it was a problem now. I’m unsure if their mechanic was licensed/ certified because shoddy work was performed on this vehicle. They wouldn’t offer me a refund, any money back, or even a trade in. I had a horrible experience with this car outlet and I would advise anyone who is in the market for buying a car, to not waste their time or money dealing with this establishment.
