I visited my home town of Chicago Aug 15-18, 2009 and was excited about riding the Wendella boat. I found a site (http://www.chicagoofficeoftourism.org/chicagocoupons/) where surprisingly, there was a Wendella boat tour 2-for-1 coupon to experience the 90 minute Lake & River tour. You cannot beat this deal and I feel it's a better offer to get the 90 minute tour for the same price as the 60 minute tour.



I actually did the pay to park near the Trump Tower, as it sits right behind the Wrigley Building where you must board the Wendella boat (at that location). I lucked up on this, because I did not realize I had parked only a few minutes away from the boat's entrance and I had only 12 mins to get there, buy the ticket and get on.



Once I boarded the boat, I used the downstairs restroom that was actually quite small, but clean. My advice is to use the biggest stall if possible, as it has a sink inside, but no working hand blower. Once I stepped out and back into the downstairs area, I saw a nice bar where drinks (alcoholic and non) were available, the A/C was blowing well, there was an LCD TV, tables with seats and speakers mounted if that's where you chose to experience the tour. Just a note: The downstairs area is enclosed, whereas the upstairs area is all open. I chose to experience the tour in the upstairs, open area, as that's the BEST way to see the city.



Once we got on the water and learned how great the lungs were of the ever talking tour guide Brad, was I presently surprised at how awesome this 90 minute ride was at $23.00 for two adults! I would definitely take this ride again when I'm on another Chicago visit.
