History of DiCola's In 1933, Anthony DiCola Sr. began DiCola Centrella, a grocery store and market. His son Anthony DiCola Jr. worked at his father's grocery as a young man. During World War II, Anthony Jr., at the age of 22, joined the army. Having survived five major battles, he received the Bronze Star for meritorious service, and returned home. Once he got back to work at the family business, he began the transformation from grocery to fish market. He gave customers the finest products available, and served the neighborhood for four decades. In 1985, Anthony DiCola Jr. passed away and his son Robert took over his father's store. While Robert changed the store into a full-fledged fish store, he retained the same values of fine quality and neighborhood pride as his father. After 70 years of service, DiCola's still provides superior seafood and service.

This is an excellent seafood carryout resturant. This is not my first visit. We make it a point to stop by each time we are in the Chicago Area. I am partial to shrimp, my husband to shrimp and fish. We find this is the place to eat. We have found none better. Great Place.
