It was in a good location for walking to the museum, shopping and eating. Staff was friendly and helpful to us with directions and information. It has an older elegant charm. we were out sightseeing most of the time. We were comfortable and pleased with our stay.

I don't know why the workers are still on strike after 5-6 years. That is crazy to me. The rooms are historic in the fact that there is no ac and you have to open the windows to regulate the temp. The views of grant park are nice. I did not have any size problems with my room, but others in my party did. The breakfast buffet is $18. I thought it was a typo. but no, it is $18 per person for a half way decent buffet. The jukebox in the bar is sufficient to last us four nights of continuos play.
