Superb restaurant. Fishermen fish every day from the sea and deliver to this hotel. They give fresh fish dishes at a reasonable price. They have also smoky fishes. Almost all types of seafood are available here like shrimps, prawns, lobsters, squids, pomfret. Good and polite staff.

Clean property in a handy, Hyde Park, Chicago location. Lakeshort was just across the highway. The furnishings and decor is nicely updated and very clean. Desk staff were efficient and pleasant. There is a reasonably priced breakfast available on the property. All was good but the best value and enjoyment for our family was the free shuttle. There are 2 standard routes - one to the U of Chicago and one to standard drop spots at John Hancock/downtown. The driver (John) is an excellent conversationalist, Chicago historian and promoter of the City along with being a very competent, on -time Chicago driver! He made our trip.

We stayed at the property for Thanksgiving week. The staff is friendly and the rooms were kept clean (daily). Our room had a refrigerator and microwave. The hotel offered a free shuttle which dropped us off by the John Hancock. We took the metra (a 5 minute walk from the front door) most times to enjoy the theater and other activities in downtown Chicago. For the price we paid, it was well worth our stay. The staff was very friendly & cheerful & helpful. We were within walking distance from some very good dining options in Hyde Park. An affordable/comfortable stay.

We stayed 2 nights and found everything to be just fine. The hotel is clean, is updated and in good order, the staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast that is well priced, in a great dining room, good service too. Great value! The location is great for visits to UChicago or any family& friends living in Hyde Park within a few blocks of the lake. Taxi stand right there too. I would stay there again.

I would definitely stay there again. The front desk service was extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us find the right bus routes to get to the sites (when the shuttle wasn't available. The room was clean. It offered free parking.

I was pleasantly surprised by everything at this hotel. Free parking in Chicago?! Outstanding! EXCEPTIONALLY friendly staff, clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, etc. all added up to a great experience.

the staff were very committed to the customers, were friendly and helpful. The room was warm, clean and everything worked. Very quiet- heard no one for the whole week while I was there- there were people in near by rooms.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Good breakfast with discount. Location was convenient with some good restaurants and a Metra station nearby. Lake Michigan is directly across the street. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Our stay at the Chicago Hyde Park Ramada, was very nice. The employees were very helpful, the food next door was very good, service was great, and prices very reasonable. But the shuttle (van) driver John, was the BEST! He helped us every to decide where to go and what to see, and what to expect. He made our 11 day vacation, really enjoyable! Thanks John.

The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle to downtown was very convenient. The 6 bus passed near-by and took you to downtown in about 15 minutes. We took the blue line to the Metra station to get to the airport. I honestly don"t see what so many people were complaining about. If you want luxury, stay somewhere else.. If you want comfort and convenience, this place works.

The rooms aren't new or fancy. What they are is comfortable & clean!! Beds were very comfortable , sheets & pillows appeared to be new & crisp. Great location!! Minutes from everywhere! Awesome price & safe neighborhood! They also had a fitness center that I was somewhat impressed with. Some hotels brag about theirs, then u get there only to be disappointed. The equipment appeared to be fairly new. I would stay here again.
