I was a passenger in a cab with Samuel and I dropped my cellphone in the back seat. The next passenger gave the phone to the cabbie who charged the phone and returned it to me at my home. Thank you Samuel and this cab company for your diligence in returning calls, and understanding the urgency when losing a phone. MF

Extremely Horrible - must be shutdown

Horrible experience... I missed my bus due to this cab service which has not come at my place...I did wait for cab around 45 mins..still no cab..I called them again n they said cab is there having some number but I have not seen..dn they told I have to find out here n there..WTF!! I clearly told them the hotel name and standing out of hotel to see the cab. I missed my bus and paid extra $40 to exchange the tickets.. I called them to pay this charges..they said they dnt know!! WTF!!

Horrible company!!! They are THIEVES!! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! My son came back from a trip to Mexico and left his IPhone in the cab. He realized it as soon as he got out and contacted the cab company immediately. He provided Chicago Carriage Co (AKA Elite Cab) the pick-up and drop-off locations, description of the maroon SUV, the driver's name (or close), description of the driver- YET THE COMPANY COULD NOT TRACK THE DRIVER- EVER...AT ALL! Isn't that a little scary? And there are cameras in the cab, so give me a break! To make matters worse, the scumbag driver used my son's phone to try to extort money from his grandmother by having some crying kid call her to say he was stuck in Mexico and needed money to get home! Only the driver knew he was in Mexico. The company was completely useless and didn't seem to care about his loss or THEIR employee's appalling actions. We called them several times over the next few days and they either were no help or didn't return the call. They are all a bunch of scam artists. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

I booked a taxi this morning at 8:16, and was notified via text message at 8:21 that taxi 317 had been dispatched and was 0.8 miles away. At 8:39 I called for an updated ETA and was informed that the driver was 5-8 minutes away. When there was still no taxi at 8:57 I called one last time and was rudely told that the "driver had been going in the wrong direction and they had to re-dispatch the reservation" and no driver had picked it up yet. So there was no information, no ETA, and no explanation as to what had happened. I informed the operator that I had booked 45 minutes before, and was in the middle of asking if there was any way to rush a taxi, or if there was a supervisor I could speak to, when the (rude and exasperated throughout the whole interaction) operator hung up on me, mid-sentence. I will definitely not be using this company in the future.

I took a cab home over the weekend, and my ID, credit cards, etc. fell out of my pocket. I called the office and was helped by a lady named Virginia. She was able to find the cab I took, contact the driver, and let me know they would look for my items. She also took time out to call me and keep me updated on what was going on until the items were actually found. I went to the office to pick the stuff up, but unfortunately she had already left for the day. The next day, she even called me to make sure I got them alright! This level of service goes above and beyond what I was expecting, and probably is above what is required. However, I know I would do the same thing in her shoes because I also take pride in my job and would want someone to do the same for me.

Don't try to pay with a credit card. Was told my transaction did not go through, so paid in cash. CC was still charged. Company does not answer phone.

I traveled to Chicago a couple of weeks ago for business. As luck would have it, I climbed into the first cab in line at the airport. The driver was Katyoka. I just wanted to send a note to let you know that this person was the best ambassador of any cab company I have ever used. Despite an early start, Katyoka was friendly and funny. He gave me his number for my later return to the airport. Much to my surprise, I only waited a few minutes for him to find me and take me back to the airport 12 hours later. A great big thank you to Katyoka for taking such good care of my travel needs while visiting. I kept his cell number and will use it every time I return to Chicago!

I live in California and was traveling in Chicago for work. Last Friday night I flagged down one of their Prius cabs and was picked up by a driver who I later learned to be named Stella. I paid with cash but left my wallet in Stella's cab. I had no record of which cab I had taken and assumed the wallet was gone forever. To my surprise the next morning I got a call from one of my credit card companies who relayed a message from the driver to report she had my wallet and provided her home telephone number. I called the number, Stella answered, and within a few hours she came to my hotel and delivered the wallet back! She gets a five star review.

Please note my husband is a patient at UIC Hosp for Cancer surgery, been in ICU for week. We taken other cabbies not your company, and was very dissatisfied. I want you to know we got a ride with Darwin, Cab 6474, as we got off the south shore train, we seen his cab, and asked if we could get a ride, were both handicapped my friend Beth and I and he got out OPENED THE DOOR FOR US, welcomed us to his Cab, gave us his name, with a smile, and his name, and asked KINDLY where can I take u ladies, we just stared at each other, in awe, OMG, he smiles, he talks and opened our doors, we were like wow this is SERVICE, after he dropped us off at the hospital we insisted for his name and number, so we could HOPEFULLY get him to take us back when we were ready to leave. We called him and he was there PROMPTLY, with his "smile" opened the door and took us to the right train station, more then we can say about the other Cab services, we want you to please let him know he made us feel

My cell phone made the mistake of slipping out of my pocket in the cab. I didn't notice until they cab driver drove away and it was too late. I also did not have any idea what taxi cab company it was. Coincidently I was in a very bad mood for leaving my $600 PDA in the back of a taxi cab. I was pretty sure it was stolen, but I tried calling it anyways. The cab driver answered and delivered my phone back to me at my office. I couldn't be happier! Well done 4601.

Horrifying Cab Experience: PRICELESS!

Beware Cab #378 "Bob"

After a shaky pickup he:



1) flew down lakeshore drive and belligerently honked at an accident scene on the exit to I90.



2)Harassed me to no end about where I live and my name.



3)after my fare was paid inquired me whether or not I tipped him (stupidly I had tipped him 20%)



4)Claimed my card didn't work and to use another or cash (it had worked,I got the chase message on my phone)



5) Refused to call dispatch to clear the situation calls police on me in front of my job



6) locks me in cab



7)lies to police and says my card doesn't work (I show them my phone they laugh at him and instruct him to unlock the doors)



8) refused police offer to call dispatch they advise me to go to ATM and just give him cash and call the bankroll dispute charge. But by the time i get back my boss had handled it and police advise me to file a report.



This post is not about the money about the harassment and humiliation. It has to stop!



These cab drivers are getting out of hand! But I can't let anybody knock me off my square. ;) just spreading the word

I just had a great experience with one of your cab drivers and wanted to provide feedback. My driver was driver #94911 (Term #1199). Prior to getting in his cab, I had just accidentally left my ID in a different cab (different company) and he was very helpful and provided me with some nice advice. He was very kind and also very professional and so I wanted to send him feedback that he deserves. It would be great if there were more drivers in Chicago like him. Thank you!

This afternoon I was picked up by Emmanuel (4537) from the Rehabilitation Center after a difficult morning. Emmanuel took me home and I paid him the fare and went upstairs. Not too much longer, I received a call from my brother telling me that a man had called their house and said he was coming back to bring my wallet. I had no idea that it was missing. Rob said..he called thinking the person that answered was me and not my sister-in-law who has the same name! Rob gave him my phone number and Emmanuel called me to tell me he found my wallet and was going to drop it off at my home. In all the years I have taken taxis, I have never met a man like Emmanuel. He had no interest in whatever money I had in the wallet. Instead, he wanted it brought back to me. As I write, my eyes fill with tears. I am grateful to Emmanuel. It is so rare to find a human being like him. I gave him whatever money I had in my wallet but he wouldnt accept all of it. Emmanuel is a true gift to the Chicago Carriage Cab Co. He is an example to your drivers and all of us and I thank him.

Wow so many harsh reviews for this business. I don't think I would ever review a cab service, but this one is an exception. After partying with the girlfriends (a tad drunk I might add hehe), I called the service to be picked up from the restaurant. Not only did they arrive outstandingly fast, but the cab driver was extremely funny and conversational during the ride. I regret not catching his name, but he was one interesting and funny driver.

I assume this is the same as the Royal 3 CCC taxi Cab Association?I'd like to compliment one of your drivers. Driver #63796 (term # 4862). His name is Pierre. I was in his cab on March 16th around 5:25pm. He was the nicest, most helpful cab driver I have ever had and I live in the city and take cabs often. I just want to let his supervisor know how great he is. He gave suggestions, waited for me while I grabbed my luggage from my house. If this gets to him, let him know my grandmother's open heart surgery was a success! :)
