The apartment they found for me had a preexisting roach and bedbug problem. Now I know you can't expect them to always know about problems like this. I have broken my lease and now they're showing my apartment. I get a couple calls a day asking if they can show my apartment. I let them know they can if they want but tell them about the pest problem and that the landlord refuses to do anything about it. They usually respond with something like "Oh, thanks for letting me know. That's definitely a deal breaker." Other agents keep calling me to see the apartment. There is no internal communication at all. On top of all this one of the agents did not lock the door after showing the apartment while I was out.

I think that is not fair to the agency. If you cannot affort the rent to begin with, why you want to look at the place. If you do not know what you can affort, that is your problems. Read all the details before signing anything, that is given regarding who you are dealing with even your own lawyer. I think this is a good lesson for this client in the future.

They will pressure you into an apartment you cannot afford, tell you that stuff is included, like gas and then you find out it is not just cooking gas, but HEATING gas that you will need to pay. I have two cats and my leasing agent made me put on the application, NO CATS. When I told him I wanted some time to THINK since the apartment was way out of my price range, I was told "Just take the apartment, it won't be here."



Total high pressure. They don't care if you cannot make ends meet. Now I am fighting tooth and nail to get my $840 back that they stole from me. This company is trying to defraud me. I have been working closely with my bank and the Attorney Generals office to recover my lost money.



STAY AWAY! Please, warn everyone you can!

I have used other apartment finding services before such as Apartment Guys and the Apartment People (they are awful, do not use them.), and the Apartment Finders were by far the best. They actually listened to what I wanted and did not try to push me out of my price range or in to another area I did not want to live in. The agent even offered to pick me up on my lunch break to go look at places because my schedule is so hectic. In the end, I found an apartment on Craigslist, but I would definitely use them again, as they are also a great resource.
