I had the pleasure of working with best price in moving large and small items from my house to storage. They were punctual, even showed up a few minutes early and worked quickly and carefully. It was the smoothest move I have had and have moved 7 times in the past 9 years, so I am very familiar with moving. I would highly recommend this company. Ryan is polite and very helpful, he even helped in finding me the right size storage unit for the best price. Moving can be stressful but the stress was minimized with this company.

The team from best price recently moved our elderly parent. They provided a superior service at a competitive and reasonable cost. The movers were friendly, efficient and flexible, we could not have asked for more. We would recommend highly to anyone contemplating a move over greater distance.

Worst moving experience ever!



After taking nearly a month to move our household belongings from Wisconsin to California, this company delivered our belongings looking as if they had taken them out of the truck and run over them prior to delivery. Now, because we didn't stop the movers as they delivered each item, mark it off the inventory, open each box, take out and unwrap each item, inspect it, and ensure that it was undamaged and functional, BEFORE we accepted the item, they are insisting that they have almost no responsibility for their actions. They have offered us $171 for nearly $4,000 worth of damages. They are hiding behind legalese in their contract as opposed to being concerned about doing the right thing and taking responsibility for the damages they caused.



So be warned – either do not use this company or if you do, you will have to make your delivery take a completely unreasonable amount of time by inventorying, inspecting and ensuring each item is unbroken and undamaged (including powering on any electronic items) before you accept it. We took photos of the damage and took an inventory as we unpacked, but according to these companies, that doesn't matter unless you do this as each item comes off the truck.

This experience was horrible. I regret not going with another company.



First, once they picked up my belongings, they never returned my calls to get it delivered. I waited months and was only able to get my things because I reached out to an attorney.



Second, they overcharged my by 50% of the actual cost. We had to drive 45 minutes to a weigh station before, then follow them another 45 minutes after to compare the weights. Fortunately, I still had my attorney to get my money back. Apparently they only respond to lawyers.



Finally, some of my belongings were sifted through and missing. Most importantly were my birth certificate, social security card and marriage info (among other things). And for the last six months I spend twenty hours a week working on clearing my name and credit. Fraudulent accounts were opened with the items that went missing while Best Price had my stuff!



I regret the decision to go with this company. They have caused me too many sleepless nights and tears.

Best Price Moving was my moving company fom Chicago to California. They picked up my belongings on Tues Sept 28 2010. I was given a GUARANTEED NOT TO EXCEED ESTIMATE which of course EXCEEDED and I have NO recourse. If I don't pay "YOU WILL NOT BE DELIVERED" I was also promised a delivery window of Oct 4-10 2010 I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY BELONGINGS (It is now Oct 15) I called the company and asked for a reduction on my bill to cover the late delivery and was told "THE MANAGEMENT WON"T DO THAT - YOU HAVE TO FILE A CLAIM" They gave me a number tat does not workand refuse to talk with me directly. I have incurred hundred of dollars in expenses due to their ignorance and non-chalance about this whole ordeal. I still have no clue when my bleongings are coming. THIS COMPANY HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. THEY DO NOT CARE IF THE CUSTOMER IS SATISFIED All they say is 'IF YOU DONT PAY - YOU WONT BE DEIVERED PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE IN HAVING THIS COMPANY ANYWHERE NEAR YOU OR YOUR FAMILY

Best Price Moving and Storage are holding our belongings hostage!!!!!!!! I feel like I have been violated! They have all of our personal belongings and are able to go throught them at will. The saleman said that it would be $1295 to move our things to our new address. He said that it would take 3 days to get it to us. It took them 4 days to get it to Chicago, where they are based out of. Once there, our cost went to $3600.00. They said that they repacked our boxes into their boxes and then charging us $15 for each box. None of this was even mentioned in the original estimate. There basic response to my questions was "We have your stuff and there is nothing you can do about it" . I went to a lawyer. He said that even though they broke some Federal regulations it would cost more in legal fees than it would to just pay them and get our stuff back. I am without my CPAP machine and my medications. Bobbi at Best Price said that that was not her problem. They have lied, deceived, and openly been very nasty about it. They are ruthless and deserve to be put out of business!!!!!!!!!

They held our belongings hostage until we paid them 4 times the original estimate. They lied and said that it would be delivered in 3 days, 2 to 10 if any problems. It will be almost a month and we will still not have our things. They create charges that are not in the contract and basically the manager's words were " We have your stuff and until you pay us there is nothing you can do about it."

I went to a lawyer. He said that it would cost more in legal fees than it would to just pay them.

Please do not ever select them as a moving company. Also check out the one you do decide on. Other companies have been known to do the same thing.

Horrible experience

My experience was less than satisfactory and if you can remember what "satisfactory" meant in grade school, then you would agree this company has a huge opportunity to improve the way they conduct their business.



I moved from Chicago to San Francisco at the end of the summer. My stuff was picked up without a problem and I even I got a call while I was driving cross country to SF, informing me that my things would be there two days from the call. So if you're still with me...they picked my things on August 26th, the driver called to tell me that they would be delivered by Aug 29th. They never called again and ended up getting to my new place on Sept. 9th (11 days later) WITHOUT MY BELONGINGS!



So picture this...a huge 18 wheeler parked on a one way street in San Francisco ready to unload a one bedroom apt...30 mins pass and still no action or sight of my beloved couches or clothes! I wanted to break down in tears at the the thought of spending one more night on our futon in our empty (incredibly cool) apartment.



The truck driver and I had to play detective to find out where my things were. With my legal papers in his hands and my things, no where to be found, he tells me "I'm so very sorry this has NEVER happened before".



It turns out my things were still in Best Price's warehouse in Chicago and were somehow overlooked and assumed to be on a truck. We called the office, dispatchers and even the rep I signed up with. No one was gracious enough to return our calls to keep me posted on THEIR mistake. Once my boyfriend got a hold of someone, they told us we had to file a grievance claim and then wait to see what they could do for us.



The "good faith" clause on their contract, states that items being transferred to the west coast should take 5-15 days. However, in the find print you will see that they have up to 20 BUSINESS days to get your things to you. Long story even longer, they FINALLY arrived on Sept. 16th and I filed a grievance claim.



Solution:

I was told they would give me a whopping $36 to compensate me. Given the incredible mistake and disregard for CUSTOMER SERVICE, this measly offering is both a slap in the face and a great example of Best Price Moving and Storage's company ethics.



Bottom line, if you're moving, please look for a different moving company to go with.

WORSE MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! SCAM...RUN!!!

1. THEY LIED SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT WHEN I WOULD RECEIVE MY BELONGINGS...THREE TO BE EXACT!!!

2. THEY OVERESTIMATED MY WEIGHT BY MORE THAN 800 LBS AND THEY WANTED ME TO PAY FOR THE EXTRA WEIGHT BEFORE UNPACKING THE TRUCK!

3. THEY HAVE THE WORSE PACKERS EVER!!! WHOEVER ATTEMPTED TO BLANKET WRAP AND PROTECT MY ITEMS MESSED UP OTHER ONES. THEY DESTROYED A PRECIOUS COLLEGE OF MINES ON A SCIENCE FAIR POSTER BOARD BY CUTTING IT UP TO COVER MY MIRROR AND PLACE TONS OF TAPE AROUND!!! THEY ALSO BROKE MY COMPUTER STAND AND SCRAPPED ALOT OF MY STUFF.

4. THE MOVERS DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH THAT GOOD...MIGHT BE ILLEGAL ALIENS...ONE TOOK A DUMP IN MY TOILET AND LEFT TRASH ALL THROUGH MY APT (I WASNT THERE FOR THE MOVE)!

5. THEY DON'T TELL YOU WHERE YOU STUFF ONCE THEY TAKE IT OR WHEN YOU WILL GET IT...THEY WENT FROM TELLING ME I SHOULD GET IT TO NOT KNOWING ANYTHING!!!

6. CLAUDIA AND MARY ARE THE WORSE DISPATCHERS/CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. THEY ARE RUDE AND WILL PUT YOU ON HOLD IF THEY DONT WANT TO TALK TO YOU...THEY DONT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS AND KNOW NOTHING!!!

7. THE OWNER IS NEVER THERE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH AND THEY WILL TRY TO PUT YOU THROUGH "CUSTOMER SERVICE" BUT THAT IS ONLY A 3RD PARTY COMPANY THAT HANDLES CLAIMS!!! CLAUDIA WILL TRY TO PUT YOU THROUGH HERE IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT, BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT!



PLEASE...RUN FROM THERE...THERE SALE ASSOCIATES WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD RATE BUT THEY LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING TOO JUST TO GET THAT DEPOSIT!!! DONT EVER EVER USE THEM!!! THEY WILL HOLD YOUR FURNITURE CAPTIVE AND DELIVER WHEN THEY WANT!!! CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!

Horrible!

I had my furniture moved from IL to Louisiana. I not informed my furniture would sit in a storage/warehouse facility for 2 week before it was even packed on a truck to be moved down here. In that 2 weeks time, my furniture turned ugly. When it arrived at my new home, several (wood & leather) pieces were wet and molded. Obviously I cannot have moldy furniture in my home, so half of my computer desk (the base/desk) and the base for my Armoire have to sit in my garage until I can have them refinished. I hope they can be restored, as it would be impossible to replace them as they are both 2 piece sets (the tops/hutch, which are useless without the base pieces are fine - of course). Not only was the bottom of my Armoire molded & wet, it was full of nutshells where an animal/rodent had set up it's home. Imagine my horror and disgust. That is when I lost it, and was really frantic & freaking out. My poor family and moving guys to have to hear my rant about what a terrible moving service I had hired (putting it mildly and much nicer). I also have several end tables with mold, scratches, and gouges in the wood. My leather chair came in wet with tiny holes all over the backrest. My dining room table came in covered in a film of oil/grease as did several boxes (either grease or wet). My freezer also arrived with the inside completely covered in mold. My water cooler is completely yellow and discolored (it used to be white). This is a horrible, horrible service and I do not recommend them to anyone.

the sale person is very good and nice....you'll think that they are very professional....and as soon as they get your furniture the nightmare will start....the promessed me that i will received my furniture 5 to 7 days days after the pickup, well after 5 days it was still in chicago....so they gave me an another day but i was in business trip at that time so couldn t be home, so they said no probleme and gave me a better day, but 2 days later the driver told me that he was here in miami ready to deliver, i told him about the arragment but didn t care we will charge me for each extra days plus new movers because he had to go back to chicago....then i ask a friend if she can go to my place, took a day off....i called them to pay with my credit card, but didn t want to take it because i couldn t send them a confirmation by fax or e-mail...i was in the middle of nowhere outside the country, finally she said she will do it anyway...i was happy....but guess what!!! the driver called me later that night to say that they didn t get the payment so no furniture.!!ansd extra days storage!!! my friend went to the banks and took the cash for her account...to able to pay them....this is the type of business you dont want to deal with..

anyway I reported the to the BBB and i files a claim....i will fight until i get my money back....if you had that type of probleme with them or other movers, report them and fight , that abuse as to stop
