Okumura Designs, based in Chicago, provides traditional Japanese millwork, and is a division of Ameriscan Designs. Okumura Designs specializes in architectural millwork, custom cabinets, plastic laminates, corian and other solid surface fabrication, architectural doors, traditional Japanese Woodwork, and metal, glass and stone upholstery. Ameriscan Designs provides quality craftsmanship specializing in custom residential and commercial architectural woodwork. The company has provided its products and services to churches and synagogues, courts, museum, restaurants and schools. The project manager and shop leader work closely with the installers to ensure the millwork is properly installed. Ameriscan Designs acquired Okumura Designs in 1997.
