HORRIBLE, AWFUL, HEARTLESS man...

HORRIBLE, AWFUL, HEARTLESS management & policies! My friend booked a prenatal massage for her and I a week in advance. The morning of our appt I had to be admitted to the hospital due to a complication with my pregnancy. My friend kept her appt and explained to them my situation. THEY REFUSED TO OVERLOOK THEIR 6hr cancellation policy and charged me 50% of the massage. EVEN AFTER I OFFERED TO BRING IN MY HOSPITAL ADMISSION PAPERWORK proving I PHYSICALLY was not able to keep the appt. Had I known I was going to the hospital obviously I would've cancelled in advance, however, it was a last minute emergency that came up 2 hrs before the appt. I spoke with TAMARA the manager and she would absolutely not refund the fee or even give me a credit for a future appt.

This spa must be incredibly hard up for money, and as I see from another recent post, have NO respect for pregnant women. I seriously cannot believe they would rather stick to their cancellation policy rather than give someone IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A UNPLANNED EMERGENCY a break. We will NEVER go here again!

All you need to go to Allyu!

I've been a loyal customer of "The Art of Healing" since the first salon was on Division St. in Wicker Park. The salon on Ashland was always a pleasant experience. This new space is no longer a salon. It is has metamorphasized into a luxurious day spa. It's like entering a world of beauty, peace, and tranquility. Allyu (pronounced ah-you) is decorated in a modern Moroccan style using only earth- friendly organic materials throughout the entire spa. At the center of the spa is the 'meditation' area where you can relax and sip a glass of cucumber or lemon water before or after your massage. There are plenty of private rooms to handle every service they offer. There's three private shower rooms, a infrared sauna room, a separate area for manicures and pedicures, and even a double sized massage room for couples. There's lot parking and street parking for those who drive. The Riverwalk area also has the restaurants "Japonais" and "Kitch'n" for those who want to have a good meal. The entire experience from the first moment you're warmly greeted to the blissful feeling you have when you exit, is truly wonderful. I hope more people from the entire Chicagoland area discover and treasure this remarkable gem.
