I've been going to Alfred's for years and he consistently does excellent work. I have had some expensive pieces ruined by tailors at top boutiques, and so now, even when I could have gotten free alterations, I take everything to Alfred. I trust my clothing with him. Alfred has a great eye for what needs to be done to a piece of clothing to make it fit properly and his old-world training is evident in the finished product. He usually nails it perfectly the first time; however, there have also been several times that I have had him re-adjust a piece, and in cases where I feel that I was not clear enough about my preferences, I have paid for the changes. If you work with Alfred, he will work with you. The final result is stellar.

I took a bridesmaid dress in to Alfred's Tailoring around 2 weeks ago. When I came back to try the dress on I noticed a spot which was not there when I dropped of the dress. Alfred said he could get out the spot by the time I picked up the dress the next day. Upon picking up the dress I noticed that alfred DID NOT remove the spot but instead sewed over the spot completely ruining the dress (a bridesmaid dress for my cousins wedding). At first, Alfred denied all responsibility and when he finally admitted it he said there was nothing he could do about it. I have never been treated in such a manner or deceived about a routine tailoring job. When Alfred finally admitted to destroying the dress he said if I came in with a receipt he would pay for the dress. Today, I went in with the dress and he once again denied all wrong doing.
