Located in the southern suburbs of Chicago, this Airgas Specialty Gases plant is dedicated to the production and filling of protocol gases, environmental gases and inspection and maintenance gases, such as BAR 97. In addition, the facility fills high-purity gases such as UHP grade gases and high-purity Oxygen. As a division of Airgas, Airgas Specialty Gases also operates strategically positioned production facilities in Los Angeles, Houston, Montgomeryville, Pa., and Cheshire, Conn. Through internal growth and more than 320 acquisitions, Airgas has built a national packaged gas distribution network that includes more than 900 branch locations, cylinder fill plants, production facilities, specialty gas laboratories and regional distribution centers. Founded in 1982, Airgas maintains its headquarters in Radnor, Pa.
