I'm a long-time patient of Dr Caplan, back to having him as a primary care doc in Needham. He is kind, caring, thoughtful, and always has a bright smile. I feel comfortable sharing my life with him, and he has been a great coach for me, through medical and personal difficulties. I would recommend him widely as a primary care doctor and as a cannabis expert. He's just the best!

CED seems to have it all done well. The marijuana information was great, so easy and simple for a new patient, and the office building and office rooms are enormous, well-lit, well-ventilated, and the office looks immaculate, like they are cleaning all day long. The trash bins (always check!) were filled with cleaning towels, so they are clearly putting in the effort to keep it scrubbed clean. Thank you, CED

I'm new to medical cannabis, although long-time recreational users. With Coronavirus, everything shut down, and I finally decided to go medical. My visit with Dr Caplan was easy. I filled out a long survey ahead of time that included history and my experience with marijuana, and then the doctor called me at my appointment time. We talked for a little while (basically confirming what I wrote) and talked about some ideas that he thought would help and that was it. I was surprised that he offered to answer questions for the whole year.

I'm grateful for Dr Caplan's central role in my transformation, but it was really the cannabis that changed my life for the better. Dr Caplan taught me what I needed to know, supportively in the most gentle way, and I slowly let my guard down about cannabis tinctures, topicals, and even vaporization. After my second year, I can honestly say I am a completely different person. I feel a sense of community and togetherness, I have a much better quality of life, and most importantly, I'm not in daily pain, or when I do have pain, it is not ruling my life anymore.

I had a great time today in clinic. I was seen promptly, well-prepared with paperwork and directions that were sent to me ahead of time. There were free snacks and water in the clean, spacious waiting room, and I was greeted by a lovely receptionist. I waited maybe 4 minutes before the doctor came out to meet me. We spoke for 30 minutes and I left feeling like I am well-supported, with a clear plan and ongoing guidance for this new cannabis adventure I'm embarking on

I am a new patient to medical cannabis - this was easy, intuitive, and totally straight-forward. Got my temporary card the same day!

I am new college student, here for the first time. Everyone was super friendly, easy going, and helped me get through the process from start to finish. I felt like I got lots of personal attention, direct feedback and help with the goals that I brought in, and had a clear line of communication for how I can ask for help for new matters that come up later!

Office is luxurious, corner office in a well-lit, pristine modern building. Exquisitely professional appearance and feel with no weed smell, no weed pictures or anything unsavory. As any doctor office, magazines to read and educational material about marijuana and the Mass program. A few clean glass display cases with medical supplies and fake products as demonstrations of the kind of materials one can purchase. The visit was 25 minutes, covering medical history and risks/benefits for my conditions and expectations. I was given clear instructions and Dr Caplan make the process simple and easy for me. I highly recommend the clinic and Dr Caplan. Exceeded expectations.

CED clinic is not the least expensive choice, and I was hesitant at first, because I didn't understand what added value there was to this kind of doctor, except to get the card. I had heard there was a Dr Tischler and a Dr Uma who charge much more, and I know of options that charge less than CED, but reading about Dr Caplan and the clinic helped me feel like this was the right choice. This is my health, and I want to treat it seriously, but I don't want to get ripped off either. After coming, this was definitely the right choice

Before this week, I had never heard of a real marijuana doctor. I lived in California and Colorado, and I knew all of the turn-key pot-docs that couldn't care less, but I had NO IDEA how much science there was to weed. I am fully blown away by the amount of information there is to learn and understand. The doctor and I talked for about 30 minutes, and I probably understood like 50% of it, but I am so pumped that this door is open, i can't even explain it. Mind is blown.

This is my 3rd year with CED, but I wanted to comment on the tremendous support I've felt, even on holidays and weekends. I have sent Dr Caplan about 30 emails over the years, and every single one has received a personal, direct response within a day or two. Never a charge to me, always caring and kind. 5 stars well-deserved

I had no idea there was so much to know about marijuana!! Lots of different ways to consume it (eat, drink, vaporize, humidify, mist, smoke, topicals, patches, oh my!) I learned more than I thought there was to learn. The clinic is great, people are so nice, and it was a terrific experience, overall!

Telemedicine experience was awesome. Thorough, efficient, and Dr Caplan is very thoughtful and kind. A wonderful call!

Outstanding customer experience. I found the reservation process to be intuitive, clear, and simple. The visit preparation was as expected, attentive but not much of a burden. The appointment was on-time, the doctor was patient with listening to me speak without interrupting or anything surprising. I got clear and directly helpful feedback, I was able to pay easily on the phone, and I got a paper card that I can use while we were still on the phone call - all exactly how I would hope a modern medical visit would be. A joyful experience, and I look forward to coming back and will recommend others to come too.

I am glad that I came to CED. Wish I had before. I have been in the Mass Medical Program for a few years, and I bounced between whatever "doc" was cheapest. I fumbled my way through whatever seemed to work for me, with next to no guidance. After a 10-minute phone call at CED (COVID-friendly certifications), I had more direction than I experienced in 4 years. I spoke with Dr Caplan. He explained the process, most of which I knew, and then made some suggestions for ways that I could better control my own success with products. Although I knew some of what we were talking about, he was clearly listening and adapted his suggestions to my level of experience. I was surprised to learn that CED has tons of info online to read more, and the whole process is zero pressure. I'll be back!

Dr. Caplan is thorough and well informed on many topics surrounding medial cannabis. He is up to date with current research and closely follows the cannabis industry in the state.

He always makes sure I have time for any questions during each consult. His process is efficient and easy.

I am new to the medical marijuana scene, but not new to cannabis. I've been using weed for years, from friends to dealers to the recreational market. I use it for pain, stress, lousy sleep, and just for fun. Given the recent changes in the Massachusetts market, it just made sense for me to get a card, in terms of cost savings, access, and delivery, which totally favor the medical market. I wish I had come years ago.

I went to CED clinic to re-certify this past year with Julia Battel. The whole experience was excellent, start to finish.
The office is very comfortable and quiet with an array of magazines and books about cannabis and a bowl of candy!
Julia was very friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. She provided some great resources in terms of becoming re-certified, but also some book titles, articles, and websites specifically tailored to my interests and needs.
Highly recommend!!!
