Provided by YP.comExcellent breakfasts, you can always find a meal to satisfy any palate. My favorites are the 3 egg omelets that you can get either baked or scrambled. Those are huge & filling. Then you have to deal with the 3 buttermilk pancakes that come with the omelet. You can forget about lunch that day!
The servers are very attentive & friendly, always smiling. Many know me & my family, often stopping when they're not waiting on other tables, taking a moment to say "Hi". Even the managers will stop for a moments chat to see how you're doing. This is a breakfast place that's worth visiting when you're in the area. The waits can be a little long on the popular days.

Provided by YP.comA good way to tell if a restaurant is good is to see how many people are willing to wait in line to get a table, and for how long. At The Original Pancake House it's not unusual to see 20 or more people standing, hoping to sit and eat. And those people? They frequently stand for over an hour to get their shot at one of the best breakfasts ever.
They don't take reservations, so if you can't get there as soon as they open, your best bet is to put your name on the waiting list and keep your eye on the seats that surround the bar-like area in front of the kitchen. As soon as people move out, you can grab their seats.
You will not be sorry for the wait, either. This place has the largest and thickest bacon strips I've ever seen, and they cook it to a perfect bit of crunchy goodness.
They offer several types of pancakes, but the most cost effective option is to order a combo plate and then substitute their buttermilk pancakes for any kind you want. We've tried the blueberry (comes with a great compote), Hawaiian (crushed pineapple and tropical syrup) and the Georgia Pecan. All were beyond good.
If you sit at the bar you might get a sample of their Dutch Baby, which is a lemony, sugary, oven baked German pancake. It's like a lemon bar crater, and one of the best, most original breakfast treats I've had in a long, long time. Order one for the table and everyone will be 100% happier for it.
Another must is the fresh squeezed orange juice. I have never liked typical orange juice. It's always too acidic, or too sweet or too pulpy. This juice, however, is literally perfect. Why? Because all they do is put oranges into a machine that squeezes them right in front of you. So, if you have good oranges, you have good juice. And this is VERY good juice.
The OPH menu is large and all items are enticing. Having been there twice I can honestly say that I doubt you'll be disappointed by anything they make you. I'm looking forward to going back soon.
