I've rented several time over the past 20 years from him and the owner has always gone above and beyond to help me out. He doe's have a brash sense of humor but I find it funny. He jokes around all the time. Some people just have a stick stuck up their rear.

Owner is rude and impersonal on the telephone, and managed to provide an extremely poor experience that negatively impacted an entire moving process. We had a truck rental reserved at the time the business opened, though the owner advised me on the phone that he is always on site one hour prior to the stated open time, and that we were welcome to come early. We drove over an hour with family members that were going to help us move and arrived on site at the time he said he would be there. When we arrived, he was not there. We went out to eat to kill time, and I called him upon the business opening time (also our scheduled pick-up time) to confirm he was there and that our truck was ready. He said YES. So we returned again about 15 MINUTES LATER, only to find out that he gave the truck away to someone else. He offered no apology, no respectful solution or explanation. He simply stated the next available truck was in a nearby city and should be back soon and he would call when it returned. MORE THAN FOUR HOURS LATER, he left a voice message saying the truck was ready for pick up. Thank you for screwing up our entire moving day and leaving us scrambling for another solution in an area we were unfamiliar with. Unbelievable that this is an operating business, and one that has deterred us from searching for Budget Rental Truck options in the future.
