Brought a bridesmaid dress here for alterations. Dress was not done a week after the latest date she estimated, and she attempted to push back my appointment day-of because she didn't have the dress done. Hem was cut visibly crooked, which she denied, claiming I was slumping, and I had to argue to have it fixed. I just got it home and looked at the dress in brighter lighting and there is a huge coffee stain across the front of it. Unprofessional atmosphere, strangely dim lighting, disorganized storage system. I am not impressed. Hopefully this giant stain will come out with dry cleaning.

DONT TAKE A WEDDING DRESS HERE!!!!!! I took my wedding dress to Miranda's shop it fit prefect she just had to hem 2 inches off of it. She had 4 weeks to do my dress and wait till the day before I was leaving to do it. She originally said she would hem it from the bottom but she instead tried to hem the dress from the middle of the dress without telling me. I think because of the long train she would not have had time to finish it that day. When i went to try on my dress it was all messed up in the waist. It was a flared dress so there was fabric bunched up and it was still too long. She also messed up on the bussle she just put a hook and eye on it looked like a mess. So 4 days before my wedding I had to take my dress to another tailor fixed what miranda messed up and then re-hemed it from the bottom where it was meant to be hemmed from. It was a mess and would not suggest taking dresses to this tailor shop!!!!

Miranda is a professional and charming person too! She can do the simple stuff, hemming, replacing zippers, taking in, etc, and make a piece of clothing from scratch. Whether it is a dress, suit, shirt, jacket, or skirt. She is the best tailor in New Haven county, although not everyone today appreciates good tailoring, with the proliferation of department store, Wal-Mart, China made boxy no style clothing.
