I went into Richy's Gun and Pawn with my brother and the first thing that stood out to me was the number of rifles and pistols they had for sale. The store is very clean and appeared to be well organized. When I entered the store there were two employees sitting behind their counter. I was not greeted or asked if I needed anything. This did not bother me though. I began looking for a Ruger 10/22 expecting to pay around $325.00 to $350.00. I asked and was shown a nice 10/22. They were asking $399.00. I thought it was overpriced and I gave the rifle back to the employees. I began looking up some 10/22 prices on my phone. The Ruger website suggested the retail of this fire arm at $379.00. I decided to go ahead and try to purchase it. Since I was in a pawn shop, I assumed, I could haggle the price down, but I was not expecting much if any. I asked for the rifle. The apparent owner or manager grabbed it. As soon as I brought up the price of the firearm’s suggested retail by its manufacturer the manager immediately placed the rifle back on the rack and literally yelled “This is not the ruger website, You can get the F#$% out! I am trying to make some money here!” I was shocked and thought he was joking at first. I then asked if I can buy the rifle at its listed price. He told me “no, Im not selling it to you” and that I need to “get out”. Not wanting to cause any trouble I said ok and immediately left the store. At the time his store had other customers in it. If you want to be treated horribly and pay outrageous prices, then go to this store. I went to another pawn shop and bought a brand new Ruger 10/22 Take down for $311.00 almost $70 lower than MSRP.

Don't be fooled

If you plan to buy any kind of gun here make sure you shop around first. I called around bass pro and academy sports to check pricing before going here, but then found out later that academy had given me the price of a different model. I bought a Taurus Judge and overpaid by almost $70 due to getting a wrong price over the phone from academy. I thought I had a good deal on my gun but a week later found the model I purchased for $70 less. And the employees are extremely rude and cocky here. That's not the way to run a business if you want people to come back.
