My anticipation for my hair appointment quickly turned into disappointment. I scheduled highlights with KEYA, a "Master Director." Unfortunately, I ended up waiting for 25 minutes before she arrived. During that time, we discussed opting for partial highlights. However, I had to wait an additional 10 minutes because she had two other customers and seemed to be taking her time. Finally, she started working on my hair, but things took a turn for the worse when I asked her about the total cost of my services. She quoted $100, initially seemed reasonable. As she proceeded with foils, she casually said an additional toner would be $60. I was willing to do that within my budget. 10 minutes later, she suddenly informed me that a blow-dry would be an extra $60. I was taken aback and felt the need to clarify the situation. It was frustrating to discover that the partial highlights would now cost me $220. I wish she had disclosed this earlier. Instead of addressing my concerns calmly, she became visibly angry. She went on to compare my previous services, threw her pen down, and condescendingly offered to call the manager. I was shocked by her unprofessional reaction. Merely asking about the price should not have resulted in such an attitude.
The manager arrived and attempted to understand my perspective, but I was already so upset that I decided to have my hair washed and leave. Another employee, who was kind, washed my hair. Despite being instructed not to blow-dry it, she went above and beyond and gave it a quick blow-dry for two minutes. As a result, I left the salon with wet and dripping hair. It was an incredibly humiliating and mistreatment experience.
What saddened me the most was that this incident occurred in a hair salon—a place where women go to relax, have a good time, and boost their confidence. KEYA needs to be held accountable for her lack of personal skills and her rude treatment of customers. The salon management should consider terminating her employment.

Finally, I found a hair salon and stylist that listened to me and gave me exactly what I asked for. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff from my stylist to the front desk. I love the new renovation and their HBI product line is the best. Thank you Hair Benders for my always awesome hair. I will be back and I will bring all my friends.

I absolutely LOVE Hairbenders!!! I have been going to Michael for haircuts for somewhere close to 10 years. Even though I have moved more than 60 miles away, there is nowhere I would rather spend a Saturday afternoon than with Michael at Hairbenders.

Go to Hair Benders if you want, but do NOT go to Voula (unless you walk in looking like a millionaire). Here is a scenario of what may happen. She will immediately chop all of your hair off so that you can't "change your mind." Then she will sit you down with the haphazard chop job for approximately 3 hours while she works on about 10 other peoples hair. OH! And within earshot she will tell other customers that cutting YOUR hair will be a waste of her time since she doesn't expect to get any money from you anyway. Then she will charge you $140 for a $20 haircut.

I've been here twice, and neither time have I been exceptionally impressed with my service. The place is nice when you first walk in, and very impressive. There is a large repretoire of stylists who are eager once they have you in their chair to sell you a service. I wouldn't mind paying the cost if I found a stylist who did what I liked. I suppose I just need to hop around more in the salon to find one I like. So for now, I'm unwilling to give them a higher mark.
