Blood Assurance is a nonprofit, full-service regional blood center serving more than 30 health care facilities in over 30 counties throughout Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama. It provides supplies of blood plasma and other components to individuals and families. Blood Assurance is a member of the American Association of Blood Banks, America's Blood Centers, the Tennessee Association of Blood Banks, the Tennessee Hospital Association and the Chattanooga Area Hospital Council. It is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Public Health, the Georgia Department of Human Resources, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Blood Assurance was founded in 1972 and is located in Chattanooga, Tenn.
