The Western North Carolina Conference, with 15 districts, is one of many conferences of The United Methodist Church. It spans the western half of North Carolina from just east of Greensboro to the Tennessee state line, and is bordered on the north by Virginia and south by South Carolina. The WNCC vision for ministry is "Follow Jesus, Make Disciples, Transform the World, " based on Matthew 28: 18-20. For the 2005-2009 quadrenium, the conference is focusing on the Power of 3 for WNCC to fulfill the mission.
