We hired this guy, Dave, to put in granite counters in a condo we are trying to sell. He seemed nice enough and seemed to know what he was talking about so we agreed on a price and he was supposed to put the counters in. He started the project a week later than we had originally agreed upon then never finished! He got the counter tops in but he installed them over an inch of plywood that was completely visible and totally unfinished looking. There is also an area on the breakfast bar that is about an inch off of the wall/plywood that he didn't bother to support in any way. Now, if you put too much pressure on that spot, the granite is going to crack. He left globs of glue all over the place and put a wood support beam from the counter to the floor that scratched up our hardwoods. We paid 1/2 up front and then gave him another $700 (which he insisted being in cash...hmmm we should've gotten a clue there). He said that he would come back to fix it the next day and haven't seen or heard from him since (this is about 2 months ago now). This guy won't even return our phone calls and he still has our key!! Completely unprofessional and did a horrible job. We had to contract someone else out to try to fix the mistakes OLD WORLD made. ****DO NOT USE THIS GUY****
