More than ten years ago, I had difficulty locating the garden center. I stopped at a bread store to ask where they were located. A store customer fortunately knew where I should turn. Once there, the plants were a delight and among the other items I found a cork trivet that I bought to send my mother to replace one I broke (w/o mom's knowledge) when I was a child. I felt redeemed. My grown daughter prefers Rountree to any other Charlotte garden center.

Notably good service experience. Only after I stumbled upon them.

The main problem with this place is location!location!location!. I must have passed it a dozen times without realizing that it was a quick turn off of Old Pineville Rd.(You guys really need a larger sign or a warning sign a little before you get to the turn). It must also hurt your casual shoppers with all of the light rail construction going on. Once inside though - this place is very nice. It's very pretty with a lot of non-plant items for sale in the checkout area. I'm afraid this cuteness and other items may be the culprit behind the higher prices. I was able to find a cardoon and some castor bean plants (I am into leaves and textures more than flowering plants) Loads of potted arrangements and containers! I shall return!
