I recently purchased a car from Parks Chevy on North Tryon and I would like recommend this dealer to anyone who is looking to purchase or finance a vehicle. My salesman was Terell High and he was very helpful in the process of finding me a finance bank and vehicle that i wanted. I am truely thankful and blessed to have drove away in my new Malibu. So please if anyone is looking to purchase a vehicle i promise Terell High will do any and everything possible to get you in the ride of your dreams.

I recently purchased a car from here after not having a car payment for over 4 years. I wanted a Mailbu at first but the one I choose was already sold. I told my salesman Diego Alvarado what I was looking for and how much I was willing to spend. After 20 minutes he found me a car that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it. He help me get the payments I wanted and he had been truly awesome to work with. I would recommend anyone to go see him he is patiently and very understanding. Thank you Diego.

I previously had another local body shop 'repair' my 2014 vehicle under an insurance claim and after 2+ months of paying out of pocket for a rental car, my car was returned to me in worse condition than prior to the accident. My engine and airbag lights were now on, my AC did not work, and the replaced bumper and fender were not painted. I felt taken advantage of and certainly did not want to take my car back to the first shop for the corrective repairs. After reading several good reviews on the internet I came across Parks Chevrolet and took my car to Ken Morrison in the Collision Center to assess what would be needed to get my car back to its pre-accident condition. Ken was not only empathetic but seemed genuinely willing to help considering the situation I just went through with the first shop. Due to a misunderstanding (on MY part) after my first corrective repair I wrote a bad online review of Ken and the shop. Ken contacted me the very next morning and instead of being angry about the nasty review I wrote, he offered for me to bring my car back in so that he could try and determine a fix for my issues. He was just as friendly and down to earth the second time as the first, and even corresponded directly with my insurance adjuster to get the repairs covered under a supplemental payment. Ken made a personal effort to turn an aweful situation around for me and for that I will forever be grateful. I can't take back the first review I wrote, but I can tell everyone I know going forward about the Collision Center at Parks Cheverolet and the honest work ethic & great customer service offered by the manager Ken Morrison.

I was interested in purchasing a 2005 BMW X5 from the Charlotte NC location. I contacted them Feb 24 2014 at 8:30am to confirm the the vehicle was still there. I was informed yes. I spoke with Donna and confirmed an appt at 7:00pm for a test drive which I drove a hour and a half from Greensboro NC . I called before heading to charlotte and was informed that everything was a go and to come and test drive the car. I arrived to the location at 7:30 pm walked in the front door and was greeted by Scott Pearson who asked how may I help you and I informed him that I was there to test drive the 2005 BMW X5. He asked me to wait for someone to assist me after waiting for over 30 min I was informed that he did not even know where the car was on the lot and the car had battery issues and could not be driven or moved at all and the most he could say was Im sorry. For a major dealership to not have a car available after driving over an hour and a half is very disappointing and not professional at all.

Deceitful, Scam Artists, Disrespectful

I was 100% upfront from day 1 about my credit issues. I make over 3k a month, and offered a $5,000 down payment for their extra security in financing a car. I was told I was approved for my vehicle of choice twice. The first time I paid for a taxi to get there and was told my application was lost the very day I called to make sure all was well. I reapplied and went a second time after personally texting the salesman asking if all was well. He said yes and I paid another taxi to get there. Upon arrival, he attempted to sell me a TOTALLY different car at $1,000 more than listed price on their own website. He and the manager wanted me to pay 14 grand for a 5 yr old SUV with 90,000 miles on it! Base model, $5,000 down payment, and a $400/month car note! I applied for and was approved for a SEDAN, brand new, and clearly stated I did not want a note of more than $250. The manager tried to make me feel like scum due to having bad credit and REFUSED to give me any other car! Even brand new ones or other used ones that costed the exact same price or less!! Why would I pay a new car price for an old SUV with so many miles??!!! When I told them I'd like to look elsewhere at other options, the manage said loudly, "There ARE no other options!" They were unwilling to compromise at all and were completely trying to rip me off with this shady deal. No way am I paying that for a used piece of crap when I can pay the exact same or less for something new!! They figured I'd be so desperate I'd agree. I politely declined and left. Stay away from these heartless bait & switch people at Parks!! They lied to me repeatedly and literally tried to tell me what car (and only 1 car) I could buy with my own money. Rip off. Do not use!!

Satisfied customer!

I was reading the reviews on Parks and I wanted to put my 2 cents worth in. I shopped NC and surrounding states looking for the best deal on service trucks. I called Parks and was transferred to Rick Nash. I purchased 2 trucks in December and called back and purchased another before the end of the year. I have never been to their facility. Rick Nash handled the entire 3 sales at my convience working totally around my busy schedule. He beat the closest dealer by thousands of dollars. I will be back!!! Thanks for the excellant service.Ronnie Taylor Specialty Refrigeration Services, Inc. Statesville, NC

Horrible Experience

I had talked to these people and told them of our credit issues. Well with our down payment, I was told, "come on down and get your truck!". I go down, drive the truck. Get paper work started. While we had to wait for our down payment money to come in, we get a call, "your not approved?" What the heck? Did they not check our background before they called us in to GET OUR TRUCK?! The man that called was very rude, he laughed at me, spoke badly of some of the people that work there and then hung up on me. I will tell everyone of this experience and beware as their communication is horrible!

Crappy customer service

We recently purchased a used vehicle from Parks Chevrolet. We went to pick it up on the specified day and it hadn't been washed, vacuumed etc. There was only 1/4 tank of gas. They told us that they would do the doll up, gas it up etc. when we returned it for a faulty sensor that was on order. We went back for the sensor but was told that we would need another appt for the doll up etc. Also noticed that the windshield had been gone over with something to fill in pit marks and a minor crack. They didn't offer to fix this. The list of complaints goes on and on. They also played number games with us. I wouldn't return to them.

Disrespectful and deceitful sales tactics

I don't know too many people who enjoy playing games with car dealerships, personally I'd rather have a root canal. I've bought a new car from Parks a couple of years ago that, but it's my more recent experience of attempting to purchase a used vehicle that I'm reviewing here. In general, I've found them to have little respect for their prospective customer's time. I understand the need for the dealership to make money and I don't expect them to give their products away. However, the "good cop/bad cop" sales games grow old quickly. I just love it when they try to get your sympathy by telling you allegedly how much they have in the vehicle you're interested in buying. Frankly, if they made a bad business deal acquiring their vehicle, that's their problem not the next buyer's, but of course what they tell you they're into it for is almost never true anyway. The vehicle shown on their used cars site that was represented as part of their inventory turns out to be owned by another dealer in another part of the state. When I expressed an interest in this vehicle, they started trying to direct me toward other vehicles on their lot. When finally it became clear that none of the vehicles on their lot was what I was looking for, they reluctantly began the numbers game on the vehicle I'd chosen. Of course, that entails coming in $900 higher than the original quote on their own vehicle and coming in a few thousand below trade-in value on mine. So began the games... Then they tried to get me to agree to a "final" number (pre tax, tag, title and fees" that actually allowed for LESS on my trade-in than what their original quote on my trade-in was. Now talk about insulting!! Do they really think the average consumers can't do simple math, or is it just women consumers that can't do math? Bottom line, folks Parks Chevrolet may claim they treat you like family but if my family treated me like this I'd want to be disowned!

It is in Parks Chevrolet's best interest to value customers' time, and we apologize that you did not feel we valued yours. Purchasing a vehicle is a significant investment, and making sure the customer's every need was satisfied takes time. We pride ourselves on our ability to do so, and it has kept us in business for many years. Addressing the inventory issue: we partner with several dealers across North Carolina to offer customers one of the largest selections of pre-owned vehicles in the region. The internet pricing for all of our vehicles is carefully set, and does not include taxes, tag fees, and documentation fees. We absolutely do not discriminate against any person for any reason, and we diligently monitor our business dealings to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations. Again, we sincerely apologize for your poor experience, and can only hope that you may give us another chance in the future.
