Needed a quick and affordable way to move all our stuff from a 3d story apartment with narrow, steep spiral stairs into our larger 2nd story apartment a block away.



Emailed MVP movers a couple weeks in advance and booked them. They provided an estimate and allowed us to tailor the booking to meet our needs. We ended up having to reschedule on them - not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES and they were very accommodating. They were prompt, friendly and professional during the scheduling (both on the phone and via email) as well as when the movers arrived in person.



Two movers showed up exactly on time, as promised (even after numerous reschedules) and moved fast to get to work! We thought since they were affordable and since we paid by the hour they might be kind of slack. Boy, were we wrong! They showed a lot of hustle, worked together well and had our whole apartment packed up and moved into the new space in about 2 hours!!



A++, best moving experience I've had, and this is my 11th move in 10 years. Keep it up.

This guys were awesome, showed up on time and did a great job. You never know what your going to get from a moving company but both teams that serviced my move were very friendly and professional and got me in and out quickly. I couldn't recommend them any more highly, I have to move again in 6 months and they will be my first call.

If you want to use these guys - and you should - BOOK in ADVANCE. I tried to use MVP in the past due to their awesome reviews but, being the procrastinator that I am, I'd call 2-3 days before my move and they were all booked up. This time, I booked about 2 weeks in advance.



I have used 3 different moving companies in NC and MVP is far and away the best. I wish I could remember the names of the 3 movers so I could give them a personal shout-out - they were courteous, professional, and got the job done in less than 2 hours! I didn't have to lift a finger apart from opening the doors to my old and new apartments. They even broke down my metal bed frame and put it back together in the new apartment (thank goodness, because I had no idea how to do this). It was money well spent.

I will never recommend this company - This all started on 6/26/15



1- When they first arrive they have you complete all this paperwork but none of the forms/contracts have carbon copies which is weird to me so you don't actually receive a copy of anything you sign.



2- They tell you upon arrival that they don't accept personal checks. They only accept certified checks, cash or credit cards with a 4% charge to you. I've spoken to them several times prior to scheduled move and not once was this ever mentioned. It's inconvenient because you don't know the final cost so you really can't get a certified check and just not sure how much cash to take out so you run around to the bank while their finishing up.



3. Their quotes/estimates are way off.



4- I paid cash and never, NEVER received a receipt. In fact, the movers stated that they would email a copy of the receipt. Never happened.



5- 6/27/15 - Because I didn't receive a copy, I drove down there the next day and to my surprise, they were just unpacking my items from the truck the day after my move even though they charged me extra for unpacking the same day of move



6- The facility is a warehouse and they share the space with an auto-mechanic shop so when you drive up and see your stuff being unloaded, they are walking through cars being fixed. Seriously



7- Your items will be placed in a warehouse (NOT CLIMATE CONTROL no matter what they tell you). I requested a receipt and copy of all of the forms they had me signed. After about 40 minutes, they finally came out with the forms. I was all set to leave until I noticed that the forms were for another person and another move - essentially, they gave me copies of someone else's documents.



8- 8/3/15 - The day I was scheduled to move to final destination, it took them a total of 10 hours. More than the initial move to the storage facility. How is that possible? It took them more time to load the truck the second time then it did to initially move me the first time which included btw the break down of furniture.



9- They said that they started loading my 3 bedroom worth of furniture at 8:30 am but arrived at my home at 1:10 pm. Then they finally left at 5:30 pm



10- Did I mentioned the quote/estimate was way off!!!!



11- I paid cash and once again NO RECEIPT and to date never received an email receipt.



12- There was damage to some of my items



13- They didn't deliver all of my items which the driver acknowledged but still day 3 haven't heard anything from them although I've called them several times



14- I completed a form documenting the damage and was told that someone would contact me - CRICKETS so far.



15- august 5th -Called them again this morning and was then told that I needed to speak to the claims/damage dept. like they were ALLSTATE. This is the funniest of this entire story because they work out of a warehouse off of Graham and they share the space with an auto-mechanic shop. There are literally two people who work in the office. The same two people who answer the phone Gabriel and Adam. Today I was told that I needed to speak to claims like they really have a claims department?????



16- I called again on the 7th of August and was finally told that I needed to email pictures of the damage so I did



17- Still no response as of the 13th of August so I followed up again. This time I was told that I had the wrong email address so once again I emailed the pictures of the damage furniture.



18- On August 18th I spoke with Adam and was told that they are working on the claim and I should hear something by the end of week.



19- As of today which is August 21st and surprise, surprise - still no response from this company.



I am so floored how a company that is supposed to be bonded operates in this manner. My next step is the Better Business Bureau but felt it important enough to share a true life experience with this moving company.

Excellent. They worked with my 3 part move even when problems arose and they stayed working hard until the job was done even though it was later than planned.



The loading of my truck and storage unit was a work of art. They fit everything into both even though it was tight.



They treated my furniture like it was their own. Some items were very heavy and had to be carried down a narrow staircase but they did a great job! They did not scuff the walls or the furniture.



I'm hiring them again when I move into my house next month!

MVP did a great job - I had to have my stuff moved into my apartment when I couldn't be there. Everything was done quickly, things were put in the right places, and when I showed up they had even assembled my bed! Definitely recommend.

No problem. I got 3 guys who came with a truck. I had furniture and I prepacked all boxes. They moved everything without a problem. Nice guys; work fast.

By far the best movers I've ever dealt with. The crew were excellent. They moved everything very quickly and carefully. The pricing was very reasonable for the move. Importantly, we never felt like we were being scammed or taken advantage of, unlike some other moving companies that we've dealt with in the past. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for movers.

I will never attempt to move by myself again!! I'm seriously amazed by the skill and positive attitude these guys have! They had my move done in under the time that I estimated, weren't thrown my my lack of parking space (sorry) and seriously eased my stress level. Everything's in one piece and now I have the afternoon to settle in. THE BEST.

The movers were supposed to arrive between 8am and 9am, but called and stated they would be at my home at 9:30am, which actually turned into 10am. So, they were very late. The movers did not cover any of my furniture until it was on the truck and didn't dismantle some of the furniture they could have. Without being wrapped, some of my furniture received scuff marks and scratches. Be cautious, you get what you pay for. All these high star ratings makes me question if the "company" themselves are posting these. I received far less then 5 star service. When I brought up my issues, the lead mover got an attitude. Not good customer service, although I tipped well because I knew they worked hard.

Very hard working and professional crew. Despite running just a little late no complaints. I'll use them for my next move, definitely.

I really enjoyed working with this company on a number of occasions. They were punctual and very helpful with arranging our moves without incident. Easy to work with. Very competitive pricing. If you need to move a number of items, household or company I would recommend these guys.

We use them all the time. We own a small business in Charlotte and use MVP almost weekly for both small and large moves. They are timely, careful, patient, and most importantly, professional. The same two to four men are on the job each time (no random helpers) so I know what to expect. Prices can't be beat either so we recommend them all the time to our customers and friends.

First I want to thank Adam for the great customer service. He was so kind and helpful. I did find another company cheaper but Adams customer service made choose this company. Nico and Leo went above and beyond ! They were quick, professional and kind. I can't say enough good things about them

I am terrible with remembering names since my stroke, but these two were work oriented! They never once took even a five minute break to catch their breath, either while packing or unpacking out belongings, not even at my suggestion at times.



Very happy with the experience.

I've been moving every couple of years so lots of moving company experience. This company is amazing in that they are so accommodating. They go out of their way to be helpful both pre-move and in transit

Hired these guys at the last minute, and I could not be more impressed. They literally do not stop working until they are done.

The guys who came out worked really hard and I would use this service again just because of them. 15/10

I recently used MVP and I must say 5 stars for this company! I moved March 12th, 2015 and leading up to the move, I contacted a few moving companies and went with what was the best price for me because let's face it, moving is expensive. Adam, the salesperson was outstanding to work with. Always emailing me and following up with me, always giving me the best price and when I needed boxes and I forgot the reason they didn't have boxes to give me (neither here or there), they delivered bins to my apt the next day. Adam was so on top of things, you couldn't have dreamed for a better experience or company to use for moving. As for the movers, Terrance was, let's say the "head mover" we did the paperwork together, walked me through the things he was doing and he was just as AWESOME. MVP held my belongings over night because I couldn't move in to my new home till the next day and at first like anyone would be, you're nervous. Everything you own is in that truck...Terrance and Adam calmed my nerves, made sure it was all going to be safe and it SURE WAS. Nothing broken, every single item accounted for and unloading in to the new house couldn't have gone any better! Terrence had a crew of two guys, total 3, each of them super nice and respectful.



If you chose MVP, you're making the best decision in the most stressful time of your life..ie: Moving!

i moved with them again last week , across the street this time , got an estimate one hour after i called , they were great and made this move really easy . its a good company .
