This company amazes me how they are still in business and have an A Rating with the BBB. Wes McLeod, in my opinion, is the most unprofessional person that I have ever dealt with in my life in regards to landlord and tenant issues. His company at this time has a complaint filed against them from me with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. He illegally filed a Summary Ejectment (Eviction Papers) against me, saying I owed money to him on 1 Nov. 2011 when, in fact, the written lease clearly states that I am not due until the 18th of each month, plus I have proof that I was current and in fact paid in advance to January 2012. I met him at his office one day before court 29 November 2011, (after he had me wait for one hour) and he gives me his word, which by the way, is worth nothing, as I have now learned, that I need not appear in court, since I was not behind and he would not get a judgment against me, and all would be well. Wrong, not only does he get a judgment against me, instead of asking for the $600.00 as filed in the Summary Ejectment, he asks Judge Pope in court for $1,200.00 and Judge Pope grants his request, without me being in court to defend myself. So now as of this writing 9 January 2012 the case is on appeal. Also he has never done one single repair on the rental as required by law. At this time there is a City Code Violation Hearing set for 11 January 2012 at 8:45 am. He has also refused to comply with N.C.State Statutes and provide his Attorney's name in order for me to prepare a proper defense. A trial by jury is set for 17 January 2012. He has refused to return a single phone call, email or postal mail from me since the court date of 30 November 2011. So in my opinion he should have his Real Estate License revoked. My next step is filing Civil Ligation against him for between $900.000 up to 3 Million Dollars. I strongly suggest that no one of sanity do business with Wes McLeod AKA McLeod Realty Inc. and if you have had a bad experience with McLeod Reality Inc. to fully exercise your legal rights.
