I see many positive comments about HomeTeam Pest defense Charlotte; however, I cannot say the same for my experience with them. Since obtaining their service (going on 3 yrs now), I have experienced nothing but confusion as they continue to mishandle my account (and the worst part is that no one in the office seems to know what they are doing and they clearly do not communicate with other...otherwise I would not have this continued issues for almost an entire year!). It's unfortunate, however, I will be reaching out to their Corporate offices to file a complaint (and also reaching out to the BBB) to try and obtain some kind of reconciliation.

This low rating is specifically for the salesperson who did not speak to my husband or I in a professional way. Treating people in a respectful and corteous manner goes a long way in business. It is unfortunate that the office salesperson chose to interact in a rude and disrespectful manner. Her actions reflect poorly on a company that was recommended by a family member.

Pest control salesperson was rude and implied twice that I was "not at home" when their technician came to spray. However, this was a false accusation. On 2 occasions it was raining in Charlotte when the technician called prior to our appointment to advise that we reschedule due to inclement weather.

The 3rd time I spoke with the same salesperson was when a technician actually came to our house for the initial visit. My husband and I decided we wanted just the one time treatment rather than the annual service (1 initial treatment + 3 additional quarterly treatments). The onsite technician informed us that the 1 time treatment could be done and updated the contract and charges accordingly. The technician was friendly and great to work with.

Shortly after we then received a call from the sales person I had worked with previously, who stated that the company did not offer "one time treatments" and that she had been trying to contact the technician at our house to inform him that the one time treatment could not be done. The woman in the sales office was rude and communicated in a hostile tone. She then demanded we stop the tech from providing service.

As a customer this was unacceptable and very frustrating. Not only did she demand us to stop the technician from doing his job but she also had a bad attitude and spoke to both me and my husband in a condescending way.

As a customer it is not my responsibility to ensure the technician and sales person are on the same page. They should communicate with each other in order to prevent conflicting information from being communicated to the customer.

Seems like they are unable to schedule treatments at your house. I've been paying 50 bucks a month for them, and anytime they come to treat my house, they can only do the outside because they call 5 mins before they come. They always say that i can call back later and they will come back out, but i shouldn't have to. One time i had rats, and they used poisoned food. I later read online that the rats will sometimes die in the walls and leave odor's and rot, so i did my own solution of mouse traps, i caught 6 by myself and now i have no rat issues. They have only once treated my house on the inside, due to me never being home to let them in, so I've only ever received outside treatment, so I'm basically paying for half of a service. Needless to say, I went on youtube, learned how to do it myself (Which is ez, all you do is spray..how hard is that?) so i just go to home depot, spend 50 bucks, and take care of probs myself.

Seemed like a good plan that this company offers at first---they offer a program where you pay an inital fee then they are suppose to come back once a quarter to treat-- With this service they are also suppose to come back and take care of any problems in between unlimited. The first problem I had with them was that this house had lots of spiders and they were not going away with the treatments that they were providing, so the technician not so nicely explained to me that even though it is suppose to be included in the price that if I called the office again the supervisor would have to come back **** Mind you this was only the second request with the claim of unlimited treatments inbetween*****



The next problem that I had with this company happened because I had to cancel 2 appointments due to illness in the family and then a death in the family. The same technician decided to give me a personal telephone call to complain to me that when I cancel appointments how it disrupts his schedule!!!! I was outraged!!!!! When I called to explain to the owner that I was not happy about this, I was instructed that he would call me-- I never heard back from him!!!!! Now the icing on the cake was the same stank attitude technician (James) called me back again to do a reschedule for another quarterly appointment and I explained to him that I wished to cancel my services- he told me no problem and just said, " I can do that right now" after that I never heard anything else from this company again!!! This is a terrible company- spend your money elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!

Let me do some research and call you back" I had several phone conversations that ended with those words with different employess on different days and never got a call back.(are they trained to say that?) I have now recieved a bill stating they are sending me to collections
