I called this business for a repair of a dryer that would have been relatively simple. They were quick to get a $50 up front fee and deduct it from my bank account. They told me a repairman would be by between 1-4. About 1pm I got a call telling me that the repair would be about $110, without the repairman showing up yet. When I said that seemed like a lot to tighten a screw, they said that I could negotiate with the repairman. Minutes later they called to tell me that they have no repairmen available and are short and to call someone else. Poor business practices I must say. I called another place and they told me that they could be here also this afternoon and that it would not exceed $90. This is what competition is all about.. with all of the people out of work maybe Charlotte Maytag Repair can find a some additional repairmen.
