The Inn which was built in 1740 was completely renovated in August 2022. In 2023, the Inn was named best new restaurant in Southern Rhode Island and the guest rooms were awarded best colonial restoration. Located in the historic beach-side community of Charlestown, Rhode Island, The General Stanton Inn sits on 6.7 acres and features 14 period-appointed guest rooms each with private baths, a tavern and five dining rooms. Guests of the Inn will enjoy a refined coastal living experience, blending beach comfort with colonial charm. This experience begins with reserved guest parking, preferred dining reservations in the tavern, free wi-fi and fresh flowers delivered daily. All guest rooms are well-appointed with sumptuous comforters and fine linens. Bathrooms feature premium bath products and plush towels. Dining rooms open at 4pm each night for dinner.
