Horrible Experience Here

I lived in Vicortian Arms for two years, it's in a good location, the rent was cheap, and their nice sized. That is where it ends though. However, rent is cheap for a reason. The management staff is rude and never reachable when needed. No one ever answered their phone, even the maintenance personnel. The maintenance man, and owners, would come in and out of my apt. without permission or notice, even when I signed a paper that was given to me where I chose that no one could come in without my being there or having notice. You could hear the upstairs neighbors, all the time. You have assigned parking spots yet people would continuously take your spot. I gave my thirty day notice upon moving out, and I've had nothing but issues since then. I contacted maintenance to ask for paint to cover the holes that I was going to patch from the things that we had hung; He told me not to patch them and he would take care of it because he liked doing that stuff and had nothing to do. I moved out before my notice and go back days before it's up to check for last minute things we didn't grab and to see what needed to be done, maintenance and a couple of other guys had already gone in and started taking over, once again, without me knowing. I wait and go back a day or two later and get everything cleaned up. I called multiple times to get the maintenance guy, Jeff, to do a walk through with me and never got an answer or reply. I finally got in touch with him when contacting him to return the keys, we met him to turn them in and he said not to worry about the walk through, it would all be taken care of. After weeks, up to a month, of trying to contact Jeff to see if everything was okay and if I would be receiving my deposit back, he finally answered and said that I should get it back because he saw no reason why I wouldn't. Then after a month of not hearing anything again, I finally got in touch with management and was told I wouldn't be receiving my deposit. She said I wouldn't be getting it back because of the damage of the holes; The holes that I was told not to patch. Also, she said that I should be charged for the keys since they weren't turned in; The keys that I put in Jeff's hand. After explaining all of this to the owner, she didn't tend to believe me and continued to make up "damage" and reasons why I wouldn't be getting my deposit back. The whole situation is ridiculous and has been the worst experience I've had. The owner is very rude and not the least bit helpful. This place has horrible management and staff, I do not recommend it.

Maintenance = A+

I've been a resident at Victorian Arms since 2011, & I'm continually impressed with the exceptional customer service provided by the maintenance crew (specifically Jeff). Whenever I've had an issue with drainage, a heating unit, or power outage, etc - Jeff always responds to the call in a timely and professional manner. Jeff is never too busy to offer a friendly "hello," and I feel safe and in 'good hands' in this Bridge Road community. Thank you Jeff, & maintenance crew for your hard work!!
