I required a new A/C unit installed in my home. I contacted Mannix for a quote on the installation. They were the most reasonably priced companies, so I decided to have them complete the installation. Jerry was very informative about the installation and how long it would take to complete. His team Lupe and company arrived on time and begin work immediately. They were very respectful of my home, laying down drop cloths and removing their shoes when they needed to walk on my carpet. They were extremely professional.



They have a repeat customer for life. Thank you very much for a job well done.

High-quality work and the best customer service

The excellent customer service at Mannix started when I called after business hours one night and reached Jerry on his cell phone. I had received a quote to replace my electric heat pump/AC system earlier in the day from another company. I suspected that Jerry’s prices would be completive, which they were - despite a laundry list of “limited-time” offers, mail-in rebates, etc. from the other guys. Jerry’s brands also came more highly recommended in my internet research, and came with better warranties (I ended up going with a two-stage Trane system). Jerry caught an issue with my refrigerant line running to the outside unit that the other guys didn’t notice. Most likely to save on cost, the lines had never been upgraded to the modern gauge that is required – who knows what that discovery would have cost me on the day of the install if I had gone with the other guys! Although we didn’t know how difficult it was going to be run the new lines through my ceiling until the day of the install, Jerry’s two-man crew was able to get that job done with minimal cutting of my drywall. The crew was professional, on-time, and I don’t think they took a single break - which meant I was up and running at the end of the day despite the extra labor required. And they left the work area cleaner than they had found it. When Jerry realized he could wire in a slightly better thrermostat that would allow me to control the new humidifier, he did that at no extra charge. In other words, he made sure I had the best possible system for the original price he had quoted me, without trying to “up-sell” me on the day of the install. I would recommend these guys to anyone – they are a competitive, detail-oriented, local company that takes pride in their work. Whereas the other company bragged about doing 15 installs a day, Mannix made me feel like I was their only customer.

Mannix H&C to my Rescue

I was about to show my vacant home to prospective renters and I stopped by my home a few days before, only to discover that my 17 year HVAC system had died. It was 90 degrees inside my home. I frantically called Jerry at Mannix Heating and Cooling. Jerry first tried walking me through a few quick checks to see if it was a simple fix that would not cost me a repair visit. Unfortunately, my system's blower motor was dead. Jerry informed me about my options: I could replace the blower motor on this old system or I could replace the whole system. I chose to replace the entire system with a new Trane HVAC system. Jerry walked me through the entire process for the replacement, and informed me his men could replace my system the very next day. Jerry's men were professional, carefull and considerate. Jerry arrived soon after his crew arrived and made sure the installation was sound and operated as required. My home was once again cool, and just in time for the rental showing. I highly recommend Mannix Heating and Cooling.

Highly Recommended

This company replaced a faulty compressor in one of my AC units, which failed during the hottest week of the summer (of course). They responded very quickly when other companies couldn't get to me for 24 - 48 hours. The technician was experienced and the owner called after the repair to make sure that the repair was successful and that I was happy with the service. Based on this experience, I also bought an annual maintenance contract from Mannix Heating and Cooling. I've used some of the big, commercialized heating/cooling service companies and this was a much better experience.

Exceptional Service, Excellent Value!

First off, notice in the title I mentioned "exceptional service" first. That's because it seems so many times customer service isn't a priority, particularly with the larger or chain companies. We called Mannix Heating and Cooling to service our AC during one of the hottest heatwaves in July, and , knowing they were probably CRAZY busy, we weren't really expecting that they would be able to accommodate our service call the same day. Well, Jerry personally returned our call within the hour, and said he would make every attempt to see us that day if at all possible. Sure enough, even though it was much later in the day, he was able to come to our house and immediately diagnose the problem.

Jerry sat down with us and patiently explained what we needed, what our options were, and went over every detail of the cost, confidently answering any questions we had. The day of installation of our new system, he was there to introduce us to the team doing the work, and came back later in the day when the work was complete to make sure we were comfortable with the ins and outs of our new system.

Let me also say, my husband is a LEED certified Sr. Project Manager with a major commercial construction company, and was well acquainted with all of the terms referring to energy-efficient systems, and upon doing some research of our own, determined that the cost Jerry quoted for our particular system was VERY competitive with other companies.

I hope you appreciate the detailed review! We can't say enough good things about Mannix Heating and Cooling, and I'm sure you will NOT be disappointed should you need their services!
