Dr. Stevenson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University in 1996. He attended medical school at Midwestern University from which he graduated with honors in 2001. Dr. Stevenson then completed surgical residency training at the University of Arizona. During residency, he received the Charles W. Witte Surgical Intern of the Year award. Dr. Stevenson is board certified in Surgery. Dr. Stevenson is the Director of metabolic and weight loss surgery at Dignity Health Weight Loss, Mercy Gilbert, Medical Center. His special procedures are bariatric, advanced laparoscopic, colorectal, and anti-reflux surgery. Dr. Stevenson is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Arizona Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, an Assistant Professor at Midwestern University College of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor at A.T. Still University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Clinical Preceptor for Northern Arizona University. His special interests are metabolic weight loss and advanced laparoscopic surgery (including hernia, gallbladder, anti-reflux, etc.).
