I came in twice last week to first get my hair cut and then lightened. I showed my stylist a picture of what I wanted (an all over purple color). I just wanted my hair bleached/lightened so the dye would be visible on my brown hair. The stylist was so dead set on doing things her way (balayage) that I did not end up getting what I wanted. First, she told me to do a few strands and see what it looked like before I made a decision, and then she told me it was "too late," although she'd only done several strands. She assured me I'd get the finished product I wanted. I've done this before and know that I need to lighten my hair at least to a dark blonde to get the color to stay. I tried to tell her this, but she was determined that I was getting her special hair style, no matter what I wanted. I came in knowing what I wanted, and was bulldozed, most likely because she (a "balayage artist") needed more work for her portfolio, which I later learned she was showing this weekend.

It has been a marvelous 5+ years with Hair Apropos!!! They are a true salon AND spa. When you enter the spa all your senses are relaxed and ready to enjoy a massage, facial etc. My entire family goes, my boss, my friend.... we are all equally taken care of and they are great at giving suggestions to make your hair not only healthy but bring out the best of you! I cannot say enough good things....

Two weeks I went to Hair Apropos for the first time and I got THE BEST hair cut I have ever had from Rudy and I’m almost 40 years old. No matter how I style it - everyday I’m getting complements from co-workers. It's the hair cut because I know I’m not a great stylist. I LOVE my hair cut. Thanks a lot Rudy. I'll keep coming back.
