EmailI've been climbing trees professionally since 1969, when I was 13, more than 40 years ago. While I won't turn down trimming work, my focus is on tree removal. I have an odd skill set: BS degree in forestry, more than 30 years in logging, and more than 40 years as a tree climber. That plays out as an intuitive grasp of applied physics, which in turn enables me to put trees on the ground more quickly than most other tree guys. If time is money, well you do the math.
I work mostly in central PA, but for the right tree or project, I'll go about anywhere. I've cut trees in 15 states so far....
I am a child of the late '60s/early '70s. An environmentalist who logs & cuts trees. My Quaker Faith leads me to treat people honestly and fairly. A pragmatic idealist if you can grasp that.

Provided by YP.comJust noticed I hadn't reviewed Martin.... but he truly is top shelf, extremely reliable, knows his stuff and just a nice honest man to do business with. He took down 2+ large trees for me for $1,400 vs another quote I got elsewhere for $5,000.... I looked no further... it was the exact same job.... the job site was left as clean as one could expect... I give Martin Melville my highest recommendation.

Provided by YP.comExcellent pricing for the work I had done. Two other businesses that provided estimates did not come close to his estimate. Martin did a great job and showed his skill on what I thought were some challeging trees. He came recommended from a friend of mine whose family had work done. Martin lived up to his reputation.

We have a Bell feller-buncher, Valmet forwarder and a small log skidder. PA Outstanding logger in 1997 & 2004. Development of forest management plans. BS in Forest Science.
